James Blake is runner up in BBC Sound of 2011

James Blake is the penultimate artist to be named in the BBC's Sound of 2011 competition, which is picking out some of the top acts to look out for this year.
A classically-trained pianist who made his name in the dubstep scene, Blake is a popular music graduate from Goldsmiths University.
He has put together a number of records which "sketch out minimalist, noir soundscapes from an eclectic library of skittering drumbeats, sweeping synths and brief, chopped up snatches of vocal," according to the BBC.
Blake currently has his debut album, Limit to Your Love, available to pre-order now, and will be playing in front of those booking Liverpool hotels at Chibuku on Friday February 4th and at Masque on Saturday February 5th.
Rhys Morgan, reviewing the album for Stereoboard.com, said it is a reserved, minimalist effort, while also being "visionary and complex".
"It is near perfection and bettering it could prove to be a sizable challenge for Blake," he added.
