Il Divo announce concert with Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra
Date Posted: 01/06/11
Il Divo are teaming up with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for their first performance in the capital city in nearly two years.
They will be performing in front of those on city breaks when they appear at the London Coliseum on Tuesday August 2nd.
A 37-piece orchestra will support tenor David Miller, vox populi Sebastien Izambard, baritone Carlos Marin and tenor Urs Buhler, with the group recently selling more than two million tickets when they played the An Evening With Il Divo tour.
The Coliseum seats just over 2,000 people, guaranteeing an intimate performance, and they are expected to play tracks taken from their latest album.
Il Divo have picked up a host of awards since they started, including being named the Artist of the Decade at the Classic BRITS, having sold more than 25 million albums.
"It's really strange to me, our success - the four of us are singers, we've all been singers for a long time prior to Il Divo, we go into the studio, we take songs, we record them the way that we all feel them and out comes Il Divo, and that's it," said Buhler after scooping the BRITS prize.
