Harrogate prepares to welcome Beauty & The Beast pantomime
Date Posted: 08/11/11
Beauty & The Beast will be this year's pantomime at Harrogate Theatre, with its opening night being held on Friday November 25th.
It runs through until Sunday January 15th and will provide plenty of entertainment for families booking Christmas breaks in the North Yorkshire spa town.
The Wetherby News reported that the venue has a good reputation for producing excellent festive entertainment, with Sir Ian McKellen praising last year's Dick Whittington show as one of the best pantomimes that he had ever seen.
In Beauty & The Beast, Tim Stedman takes on the role of the challenged Mudd-elles, with Howard Chadwick starring as Dame Sue the Sous Chef.
Polly Lister will get into character as the Sorceress having appeared in several other Harrogate Theatre pantomimes over the years.
Coming up later this year at the North Yorkshire venue is Al Murray's Barrel of Fun Tour, and he will be on stage at the theatre on Wednesday December 7th.
