The Great British Musical to raise funds for Perfect Pitch
Date Posted: 03/03/11
A one-off show is being organised featuring stars of London theatre breaks to raise money for Perfect Pitch.
The Great British Musical: The Famous and the Future will take place at the Criterion theatre on Sunday April 10th, with a number of Laurence Oliver Award nominees hitting the stage.
Love Story's Emma Williams, Michael Xavier and Peter Polycarpou will join up for the production, with the Wizard of Oz's Paul Keating and Avenue Q star Julie Atherton also involved.
Theatre fans will be able to hear some of the most famous musical songs in West End history, including tracks from The Lion King, Blood Brothers and Departure Lounge.
The show will be hosted by Stephen Fry, with funds going to Perfect Pitch, a company founded in 2006, which aims to provide an opportunity for British writers to develop their material in conjunction with other industry experts across the UK.
