Glasgow International Comedy Festival's 10th birthday only 4 weeks away
Date Posted: 15/02/12
Glasgow is offering two and half weeks of endless laughs as it celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
The event, which runs Thursday March 15th-Saturday April 1st, features comedy greats such as Michael Winslow, Doug Stanhope, Dara O'Briain and Rory Bremner.
The less conventional and rising acts are, however, surely worth the attention of prospective punters. Scott Capurro's Islamohomophobia and Absolute Improv are two particular highlights.
Friends looking for weekend breaks filled with plentiful laughs should look to a mid-March escape to Glasgow.
The comedy festival emerged out of the city's Stand Comedy Club in 2003. Since then, the festival has been growing year-on-year and now hosts 300 shows in 40 venues over 18 days.
With four weeks to go until the festival commences, it is time to get your tickets and hotels booked for a side-splitting break north of the border.
