Frank Turner to tour his brand of sing-a-long folk this winter
Date Posted: 18/04/12
The oft-dubbed British Bob Dylan, Frank Turner, is set to embark on an extensive 18-date UK tour following the successful sell-out show at London's Wembley Arena last Friday.
Turner's tour kicks-off at Nottingham's Rock City on Sunday, November 11th before those booking Leeds hotels on Monday, November 12th get the opportunity to see the star at the O2 Academy.
His tour continues on to the likes of Liverpool, Swansea, Margate, Newcastle, Norwich, Leamington Spa, Oxford, Brighton and Southampton ahead of the final date at The Pavilion in Bath on Saturday, December 1st.
Turner made his name in the hardcore punk band Million Dead. When the band split up he stripped the raw aggression of the music away to take it back to the basics: one man and a guitar.
Through four solo albums his music progressed instrumentally and he now tours and records with a full band dubbed the Sleeping Souls. They bring a brand of acoustic folk to life with harmonicas, mandolins, organs and guitar.
His latest release is the Second Three Years, a collection of b-sides, live recordings and session tracks.
