Foo Fighters to be star of NME Awards Big Gig
Date Posted: 18/01/11
Foo Fighters have been named as the headline act for the NME Awards Big Gig 2011 at Wembley Arena.
Dave Grohl and his band will be entertaining those on London breaks on Friday February 25th, along with the likes of Cee Lo Green and Band of Horses.
It comes on the back of frontman Grohl being named as the NME Godlike Genius recipient, a prize that he will pick up at the NME Awards on Wednesday February 23rd.
The Foos are also looking forward to releasing their seventh album, which is due out in the spring time.
Cee Lo Green has previously been recording under the guise of Gnarls Barkley and achieved worldwide success on the back of his vocal for Crazy.
Band of Horses' stock has risen in the past 12 months and they are sure to entertain Wembley Arena with their anthemic indie pop, which also takes influences from seventies prog-rock.
