Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be is being revived at the Union theatre, with Hannah-Jane Fox taking the lead role of Lil.
Featuring music by Lionel Bart, the production opens on Tuesday May 10th, running until Saturday June 4th for fans of London theatre breaks.
Phil Willmott will take up the direction of the play, having previously worked on I Love You You're Perfect Now Change and Fame.
Fox previously made her name with a string of fine performances in the Queen musical We Will Rock You, creating the role of Scaramouche.
Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be tells the story of Fred, who returns from a spell in prison to find that he is no longer king of his East End manor.
The production also helped to launch the career of Barbara Windsor, who played the role of Lil in 1960 at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, before it transferred to the West End's Garrick Theatre.
During the last month, the Union theatre has been showcasing Short & Sweet, a collection of pint-sized comedy scripts.
