Find out more about Sherlock Holmes in London
Date Posted: 19/05/14
Fans of Sherlock Holmes can look forward to a new exhibition all about the famous fictional detective, showing at the Museum of London from October 17th.
The new display will put Holmes himself under the microscope to examine and dissect the character traits that define him.
Fans can view the literary beginnings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s global icon, who first appeared over 125 years ago.
The display will look beyond the much-loved deerstalker hat, pipe and coat in search of the complexities of his character and will use the detective’s own observational powers and analytical mind to find out the truth about him and his relationship with London.
Sharon Ament, director of the museum, said: “We all think we know Sherlock Holmes, but do we really? The lens through which the Museum of London will examine the inimitable detective will reveal more about London than you might guess, but then you’d expect nothing less of the Museum of London.”
Become a detective yourself and find out all about Holmes while enjoying a London city break.
