Explore the outskirts when staying in Paris

Visitors to Paris should consider staying in a hotel on the outskirts of the city, according to an expert.
Sarah Woods, a travel presenter on the Alan Titchmarsh show and travel writer, said that many of the newer hotels are located on the edge of the city as space is at a premium in the centre.
Holidaymakers on Eurostar breaks will be able to get good value for money by opting for these residences, rather than the more expensive rooms which are in the middle of Paris.
"In the south of the city, there is a cluster of new properties and they represent good value for money. People don't mind travelling in for 15 minutes to come into the centre of Paris," she noted.
She went on to advise that in order to get a room in one of Paris' central hotels then travellers should book well in advance.
Paris could well be one of the most in-demand destinations over the coming weeks, with couples looking to get away for Valentine's Day on Tuesday February 14th.
