Enjoy a trip to the capital for a summer of sport
Date Posted: 15/06/12
Sports fans up and down the country will no doubt be relishing this summer's events that includes the on-going Euro 2012, Wimbledon and, of course, the London 2012 Olympics.
There's still time for people to book short breaks to the capital to travel to the Olympic venues, with the landmark event kicking off on Friday, July 27th and concluding on Sunday, August 12th.
However, if the Olympic Games are a bit too hectic, then why not book the trip later in the summer when the Paralympic Games are taking place between Wednesday, August 29th to Sunday, September 9th.
Some 10,500 athletes from an estimated 204 nations are expected to compete in the Olympics across 302 events in 26 sports.
British hopefuls include the likes of diver Tom Daley, track and field athlete Jessica Ennis and swimmer Rebecca Adlington, who will all be hoping to bring home the gold.
People who don't want to make the trip to the capital can head to events elsewhere in the country.
Football fans should head to Old Trafford in Manchester, St James' Park in Newcastle or the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff to see one of the exciting football events.
