England's Top 101 Attractions Revealed
Date Posted: 23/04/13
Anyone looking for inspiration for weekend breaks around the UK may want to take notice of a brand new list of the top 101 things to do in England, which was published by VisitEngland in celebration of St George's Day.
The collection includes something for everyone, whether you're into history, sport, nature or just letting your hair down and having a great time.
For example, a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the likes of Stonehenge and Tintagel Castle feature on the list, as does England's oldest pub, Nottingham's Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem.
The Eden Project, which contains the world's largest greenhouses, also made the cut, while Barter Books in Alnwick, where the iconic 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster was first sold, is another of the many fantastic attractions recommended by VisitEngland.
All 101 locations were chosen by a public vote with special input from a panel of tourism experts, so anyone planning a trip to England can be sure that every suggestion on the list is well worth a visit.
