Eighties pop legends Duran Duran have been announced as the fourth and final act to play a concert in London's Hyde Park to mark the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The concert will feature an act from each of the four Home Nations. Snow Patrol represent Northern Ireland, Stereophonics will symbolise Wales while Paolo Nutini is to perform in the name of Scotland.
Fans of the four acts should book London hotels for Friday, July 27th if they are looking to attend the landmark concert.
"Performing to so many people on the most exciting day in sport for Great Britain will be one of the highlights of the last decade for us," said Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon.
"We have been invited to represent England for this Team GB show, and we couldn't be more proud."
Tickets for the concert go on sale at 9:00 BST on Friday, May 4th.
A corresponding concert is to close the Olympic Games in Hyde Park on August 12th, which is headlined by Blur and also features New Order and The Specials.
