Doctor Who pair to star in West End's Much Ado About Nothing

Former Doctor Who star David Tennant and his assistant Catherine Tate have been cast in the West End production of Much Ado About Nothing.
The pair will appear in the Shakespearean comedy in front of those booking London hotels at Wyndham's Theatre from Wednesday June 1st.
It is the first time that Tennant and Tate have appeared on stage together, having approached theatre producers with the idea of playing the roles of Benedick and Beatrice together.
"Although I've done television and film, going back to the theatre feels like something I would naturally do, and to get the chance to do it with one of your mates, and to do a play you've always wanted to, felt like an opportunity that was too good to miss," said the ex-Doctor.
The Hollywood film adaption of Much Ado About Nothing originally saw Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson star as Benedick and Beatrice, while Keanu Reaves and Denzel Washington also had roles.
Currently, Wyndham's Theatre is showing Clybourne Park, starring Stuart McQuarrie and Jason Watkins.
