Crufts to provide 'tail wagging fun' for the whole family
Date Posted: 09/02/12
Crufts is the perfect opportunity for the whole family to learn about the world of dogs, and the event is now less than one month away.
It takes place at the NEC, and those booking Birmingham hotels can choose to attend on any date between Thursday March 8th and Sunday March 11th, with under 8s gaining free entry.
On the first day of Crufts, the Toy and Utility Group breed showing will run, featuring displays from West Midlands Police and the Heelwork to Music competition.
Day two sees the Gundog Group take centre stage, with both singles and team prizes given out for agility trials.
The third day of the event will give families the chance to see a display by the RAF as part of the Working and Pastoral Groups showing, and the Crufts Obedience Winners for 2012 will be announced.
The show will close on the Sunday with the Terrier and Hound Groups, with the International Junior Handling Competition being one of the stand-out events.
Crufts, which was named after founder Charles Cruft, dates back to 1886 and originally featured 57 classes with over 600 entrants taking part.
