Coldplay set for "triumphant return" at Glastonbury
Date Posted: 16/02/11
Coldplay are the latest act to be unveiled as headliners at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
Chris Martin and his band will entertain those on short breaks when they appear on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday June 25th, and comes just days after Beyonce was announced as another top draw for music fans.
Michael Eavis, organiser of the concert, said that Coldplay's participation will seal a "triumphant return".
It is also rumoured that U2, who pulled out from performing at the Worthy Farm event last year, will also be included in the 2011 line-up.
"Coldplay have played such a major part in the festival over the last ten years or so. As their popularity grew around the world I was so proud of them. They're one of the greatest phenomena to grow from these fields," added Mr Eavis.
Glastonbury is currently advertising for chefs and cooks to help out at the event, cooking for the 1,000 site staff during the five-day festival.
