ChildLine Rocks attempts to break 4 world records at the Ricoh Arena
Date Posted: 27/06/12
ChildLine Rocks, an annual charity rock concert, is hoping to break four Guinness World Records when 2,500 guitarists take to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry for Strum a Chord for a Good Cause.
To see the audacious effort to break the records and support a worthy cause, Brits should book short breaks to the West Midlands city for Sunday, October 14th.
The four records are: The Largest Electric Guitar Ensemble, The Largest Music Lesson, The Largest Air Guitar Ensemble and The Most Guitar Amplifiers Used Simultaneously.
On top of the exciting record-breaking challenge, there will be an array of guest appearances throughout the event, with more details to be announced soon.
Three unsigned bands will kick things off at 13:00 GMT and there will be a competition for the fastest guitarist at the show.
ChildLine provides free 24-hour counselling to vulnerable young people through the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). It deals with issues such as abuse, bullying, divorce, pregnancy and substance abuse.
The charity event hopes to raise £250,000 for the cause over the day.
