Celebrate Pancake Day in London
Date Posted: 12/02/14
Pancake Day falls on March 4th this year, so why not celebrate with a short break to the capital? With plenty of pancake-themed events, great creperies and pancake houses, it’s sure to be a hit with the family.
Head to the East End for the Great Spitalfields Pancake Race, which kicks off at 12:30pm from the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.
The event features teams of four running up and down Brick Lane in hilarious costumes, flipping pancakes as they go. There will also be live music and plenty of freshly-cooked pancakes to try.
If you haven’t had your fill of the ever-favourite breakfast treats after this though, then why not head to one of London’s famous pancake houses? Some of the best are Dudley’s Pancake House in Barnet, My Old Dutch pancake houses, Cafe-Cremerie in South Kensington and Creperie du Monde in Lower Clapton.
