Catch the World Cup Action in Leeds
Date Posted: 12/06/14
This year’s football World Cup is taking place on the other side of the globe in Brazil and fans everywhere will be eager to see how the tournament plays out in this fantastic footballing nation.
Of course, most of us can’t afford to jet off to South America for the duration of the competition, but there are plenty of places in the UK where you can catch all the action.
Leeds is a prime example, with the city’s council erecting a huge screen in Millennium Square that will show two of England’s three group games and, should the team make it out of the group stages, will also screen the match in the last-16 knockout stage.
If you’re planning to spend a night in a hotel in Leeds around the time of England’s fixture with Uruguay or the game against Costa Rica, you could join hundreds of other football fans in the centre of the city for the occasion.
