Date Posted: 19/02/13
Those staying in Paris hotels this spring can enjoy an exhibition of kinetic art at the Pompidou Centre.
From February 27th to May 20th visitors will be able to enjoy the works of Jesús Rafael Soto, a Venezuelan who made his name in the French capital with his creative approach to art.
Soto's most famous pieces are called Pénétrables, which feature hanging tubes that visitors can walk through.
Discussing these works, the late artist said: "It is no longer a case of people being over here and the world over there.
"People are part of the whole, and it is this whole that I want people to feel through my encompassing works."
The exhibition is made up of 20 landmark pieces in all created between 1955 and 2004, which were donated by Soto's family.
Tickets to the exhibition cost between €9 and €13 euro depending on the time you visit.
