Brick 2014 to Impress Youngsters and Adults

Brick by brick, Lego is steadily taking over the world - certainly in London where venues are hosting not one but two events based on the toy this winter. Firstly, an excellent exhibition on sculptures using the toy is taking place at (where else?) Brick Lane. But hardcore fans of the little plastic pieces will also want to check out Brick 2014 at the ExCeL Centre this November.

The annual event has taken place once a year over the past decade, albeit with varying names. It will feature a highly exciting programme that will include workshops with professional builders, impressive displays from across the world and areas where you can do a spot of building yourself.

If that's not enough, dive into the fantastic market, which will be selling Lego bricks both old and new from various collections. There will be plenty for kids looking for special bits and bobs, while adults will also be pleased with the section containing hard to find pieces from collections that you might have lost long ago.

This year's incarnation is sure to be bigger and better than ever. Indeed, its original appearance at the O2 Arena back in May even had to be cancelled after ticket demand skyrocketed.

If you're interested in attending, you'll want to bring along a creative attitude that is ready to be inspired. Brick 2014 will take place between November 27th and the 30th and tickets cost between £16.75 and £42 depending on how many days you wish to experience. All workshops are included in the entry price.

Wintertime is a great time to visit London, where a veritable snowstorm of events will take hold of the capital in time for the festive season. These certainly make for a really fantastic weekend break in the capital.
