Brecon Beacons offer ‘endless activities’
Date Posted: 21/03/12
The Brecon Beacons in Wales offer countless activities for thrill seekers on short breaks.
Just a few examples of what visitors can get up to are kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing and horse riding.
Avid walkers can traverse any number of the beautiful gorges in the region, which is famous for its stunning cascade waterfalls.
Tourists can also get back to nature when it comes to finding things to eat too.
Speaking at the Ideal Home Show at Earl's Court, the director of the marketing firm Alexandra Marr and Assoicaties said: “Starting with food, there's bushcraft and foraging going on.”
“There's a new book that's come out from a local author called 'The Hedgerow Handbook' [by Adele Nozedar], and the whole British countryside is scattered with hedges where you can go foraging.”
Accessing the Brecon Beacons is not as hard as you may think. It’s only two and a half hours from London, around two hours from Birmingham and buses frequently stop in the area.
