BBC National Orchestra of Wales reveals tour details
Date Posted: 21/10/13
The BBC National Orchestra of Wales has added British conductor Michael Francis to its line-up when it tours mid and north Wales in November.
His inclusion is a boost to the tour and marks something of a homecoming for the star – he previously studied music at Cardiff University.
Mr Francis, who is usually the conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra, used to be a double bassist, but has found his skills better suited to leading his fellow musicians.
The orchestra will be visiting Aberystwyth, Bangor and Llandudno throughout the month, and highlights include a performance by the renowned cellist Daniel Muller-Schott.
He will be performing the Antonin Dvorak's cello concerto in B minor, a seminal piece of music.
Booking tickets to see the BBC National Orchestra of Wales is a nice way of surprising a loved one. Why not make it a proper trip by looking at booking short breaks?
