Date Posted: 28/11/13
The Bodleian Library, Oxford, is presenting a display about writer Barbara Pym, marking 100 years since she was born in 1913.
The exhibition kicked off on November 9th, and anyone enjoying hotel breaks in the city will still have a chance to see it until December 8th, when it is due to close.
A piece Pym wrote aged nine called The Magic Diamond and manuscripts of Excellent Women, one of her novels, are among the things on display, according to the Bodleian website. The free exhibition is open every day, and can be found in the Proscholium.
It opens 09:00 GMT to 17:00 GMT on weekdays, with an earlier closing time of 16:30 GMT on Saturdays. On Sundays it can be seen 11:00 to 17:00.
The Bodleian was given Pym's literary papers after she died. Her novels include A Glass of Blessings, A Sweet Dove Died and Jane and Prudence.
