'August Bank Holiday Lark' Play for Newcastle-under-Lyme
Date Posted: 12/12/13
February next year will see the play An August Bank Holiday Lark hit the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Set in Lancashire at the beginning of the 20th century, it's been penned by Deborah McAndrew, with Barrie Rutter directing this first production.
The play is set to have a lengthy run of almost a month at the theatre, beginning February 7th and ending March 1st next year.
Exploring the time just before the First World War in a rural setting, Northern Broadsides have teamed up with the New Vic to present the production.
It will come in the wake of a lengthy run for play The Hundred and One Dalmatians at the theatre, which kicked-off on November 23rd this year, and is set to continue until February 1st next year.
