Ancient lives at the British Museum
Date Posted: 01/04/14
If you’re into mummies and ancient Egypt, then head to the British Museum from May 22nd, where there’ll be a display of eight preserved bodies in a new exhibition entitled Ancient lives new discoveries.
The bodies from Egypt and Sudan will be on display from November 30th, 2014 and be part of a ground-breaking public exhibition, which will explore the lives of those living in the Nile Valley over the period of four thousand years.
The exhibit will look at exactly who these people were and how they lived, as well as shedding light on how mummies are examined and studied.
Visitors will also get the chance to try their hand at the technology provided to look at the mummies to find out about their health and how they were preserved.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the British Museum and cost £10 for adults, while members and those younger than 16 years old go free.
Visit the new exhibition as part of a London weekend break.
