Adam Vesperman to become 27th Billy Elliot
Date Posted: 27/07/11
The 27th young actor to take on the role of Billy Elliot has taken his West End bow.
Adam Vesperman, 13, from Seattle, appeared at the Victoria Palace theatre in front of those booking London hotels earlier this week.
He will now share the role with Ryan Collinson, Josh Baker, Dean Charles-Chapman and Scott McKenzie in the production.
"After a few auditions around America, I was the happiest boy on earth when I found out that I would be coming to London and to train to be Billy Elliot. It’s so hard being 5,000 miles away from my family and friends for so long, but it’s worth it," said the latest West End star.
He added that playing the role of Billy has changed his life and he is looking forward to maintaining the quality shown by his predecessors.
Currently, Billy Elliot is booking until Saturday December 15th 2012, having originally opened in London in March 2005.
