A soggy year ahead at the Palace Theatre
Date Posted: 14/03/12
Singin' in the Rain will continue its run at the West End's Palace Theatre until Saturday, February 23rd 2013 at the earliest after bookings for the critically-acclaimed musical were extended by five months.
This means there are an extra 250,000 tickets available to fans that want to visit London to see the stage adaptation of the 1952 American film.
Adam Cooper plays Don Lockwood, the role originally performed by Gene Kelly. He executes the awe-inspiring, yet rather damp, dance routine that serves as a main highlight of the show.
He is joined by Scarlett Strallen, Katherine Kingsley, Daniel Crossley and Michael Brandon in the star-studded line-up.
Singin' in the Rain follows the tale of Lockwood, a silent movie star who has everything he wants. Yet, he is rocked when the rumours come true about films that involve talking and singing making their way to Hollywood.
The show first opened at the theatre on Wednesday, Feburary 15th this year. It features songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed and is choreographed by Andrew Wright.
