Krakow Holiday Reviews

Wawel Royal Castle, Cathedral and Gardens, Krakow, Poland

Krakow is a vibrant city steeped in over a thousand years of history. Originally Poland's capital, the city has 28 museums and art galleries, palaces, churches, modern shops and a lively nightlife. Highlights of The Old Town, with its Renaissance architecture, include the Royal Castle and medieval Old Town Square.

With flight times of just over two hours from UK airports, Krakow is easily accessible to visitors. We have a range of hotels and flights to choose from with something for all guests regardless of their requirements. Once you have selected your hotel why not add on tickets for some of Krakow?s popular tours and attractions to make your stay really memorable.

  • The Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour takes visitors to the site of the former concentration camp and includes a visit to the permanent exhibition, the original buildings of the main Auschwitz camp and also a visit to the sub-camp of Birkenau. A harrowing but rewarding experience, Auschwitz tours are an absolute must see for visitors to Krakow. Trips last up to eight hours and include coach pick up from your Krakow hotel.
  • Wieliczka Salt Mine Tours explore the subterranean world of this historic salt mine and UNESCO world heritage site. Visitors descend nearly 400 steps to reach the "underground town" complete with lakes, passages and even a chapel before returning to the surface via elevator from over 100 metres underground. Tours last up to 5 hours, including return coach transfer from your Krakow hotel.
  • Krakow Walking Tours include trips around the historic Jewish Quarter and Krakow's Old Town. Explore the history of Krakow from Medieval times to the present day via World War Two and the Communist era. Sights include Wawel Castle, St. Mary's Basilica, the Old Synagogue and Oskar Schindler's factory. Tours depart from the main square and last approximately three hours.
The best way to discover these attractions is with a Discover Krakow Pass which includes entry to Wieliczka Salt Mines and a tour of Auschwitz Birkenau as well as a Krakow walking tour.

These are just a few of the highlights you can look forward to during your stay in Krakow. The city also boasts many fine restaurant and trendy bars.
