Short break in Venice

Stayed at Hotel Scandinavia in Venice. Really good location equal distance between Rialto bridge and St Marks Sq. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff who speak excellent English. Dining room did See More  Read more information get a bit congested at breakfast time - normal continental breakfast served. Our room was lovely with view over the Campo Santa Maria Formosa. We were disappointed by the hotel - not sure how it obtained 4 stars. Was very dated but in a nice area and the location was good. Florence

Florence is a beautiful compact city with lots of nice places to eat and plenty to see. The Palazzo Pitti was well worth a visit. Rome on Foot!

The Pace Helvezia is perfectly located to do all the main sights of Rome on foot. From the Colosseum to St Peters. It has a fantastic roof top terrace with views of all Rome. You can take your own See More  Read more information drinks and snacks up there and chill out after a full day of sightseeing. The breakfast was continental style (no hot food) but had plenty of variety and some very tasty pastries! The room was spaciousand had everything we needed. Break in Rome

Hotel was quite centrally located to various sites. The staff were not over friendly, the breakfast was satisfactory. There was no English channel on the TV. It would have been nice to have had a See More  Read more information lounge with coffee/tea machine to perhaps have a cup of coffee or tea after a day walking around. Great long weekend in Rome

The Hotel Eliseo is definitely one I would recommend to family and friends - hotel is within walking distance of Piazza Trinita dei Monti and Spanish Steps. Weekend in Venice

We went to Venice for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. The hotel was The Carlton on the Grand Canal which had a fantastic location within walking distance to the local landmarks. The only down point was that we could not open our window because of outside shutters to get fresh air. We travelled from Treviso airportby the Ryanair bus which was a very good service and only cost 10 Euros each way. I would certainly go back in the spring.   Collapse  Hide

Day trip to Pompei

Hotel was clean, breakfast was not varied it was the same each day - cheese ham rolls, no mini bar, no tea or coffee making facilities or 24 hour bar.
