A warm welcome from Mouro on reception kicked off our stay very well. He was very enthusiastic and passionate and gave us all the information we needed on check in. We stayed in room 310 which was near the lift on the third floor. As expected a very small room with a double bed occupying most of it. The bed was comfortable with duvet and extra blankets if needed. A cramped Bathroom with shower which was not very powerful. Views from the window out on the busy Cromwell Road and trees. Other doors could be heard slamming from other bedrooms but otherwise quiet and peaceful. The bar downstairs was small and classy with expensive drinks of Peroni at £6.75 a pint and wine £9 a glass. Free peanuts though. All in all an impressive hotel in a good location - we would return. Collapse

What a great hotel. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly - everybody practically fell over themselves to ensure we had a great stay, it felt lovely to be so well looked after. The rooms were gorgeous (although very small, but what do you expect for central London). The cocktail bar that opens in the evening is very cosy, and has a lovely sunken terrace outside for enjoying a cigar or two, appropriately covered and heated. I've been instructed by the wife to comment on the quality of the bedsheets and she's right; the beds were super comfy, linens were all clean and well presented. Should I ever find myself in Kensington again, we shall be staying here for sure! Collapse

Stayed 17-23 April, my husband and our ten year old son in room 1 (basement level) and parents on the 4th floor. We love the Autograph Collection hotels (check them out in Berlin and Barcelona!) and so when we all met in London for a family reunion and the London marathon, we naturally booked at Xenia. We were not disappointed, and hospitality at Xenia exceeded that at most other hotels. The only downside to this hotel are it's small rooms, and we almost didn't book here due to the negative reviews about room size since our son was also staying with us. The front desk, however, went out of their way to accommodate us, and gave us basement room 1 which is larger than most so that a rollaway bed could be added. While the basement rooms are darker and a bit noisy (you can sometimes hear running water in pipes above) they are much more spacious. We had delicious breakfasts each morning in the restaurant, and we welcomed some London friends to the outdoor patio off the bar for drinks one evening in celebration of a marathon completed and the blossoming of spring. Thank you to the Xenia staff for your warm hospitality and attention to detail! Collapse

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Xenia. From the minute you walk to the front steps you are taken care of. The doorman carried our bag up the steps (there are a few of them) and walked us over to the front desk. We were warmly greeted and the staff could not have been more helpful. Everything we needed as promptly taken care of. Xenia has a turn down service and every night there was some kind of petite treat left on the nightstand. We couldn't ask for better service. Another plus for Hotel Xenia was the location. We were right between two subway stops so access into the city was easy. We were within walking distance of the V&A and Harrods, and many local restaurants. There is even a grocery store and Starbucks next door if you need anything. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Collapse
