We went on the baby first stay package - room was lovely, and the hotel catered really well for babies and small children - providing the necessary equipment and numerous additional, thoughtful services - bottle cleaning, high tea for the children, creche, baby listening services - and the welcome gift was over and above ! The grounds are lovely, with many things to do - sheep trail, garden games, spa / pool, and the baby swim lesson was fun. Our daughter particularly enjoyed seeing the animals in the walled garden. Only slight disappointment was the choice of food - pretty limited choices and quality could be better, whilst being fairly pricey in comparison to other similar places we have visited. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. Collapse

Positives: Fantastic site, well maintained, service was excellent - really couldn't do enough for us. Creche and Spa was a real highlight, excellent facilities. Areas of development -Unfortunatly on two occasions the crockery was unclean, during breakfast and then during afternoon tea. Staff were apologetic and changed it quickly. -Limited vegetarian menu, but I'm reassured this is being looked at by the Chef. Overall: I'd highly recommend this place as a place to stay for families with children! Thank you Woolley Grange for our time here and we will definitely be using your chain of hotels in the near future! Collapse

This was the third Luxury Family Hotel we’ve stayed in and possibly the best. We stayed in a two bedroom suite which was great with two kids. The room itself could do with a bit of a refurb, and the manager told me that it’s coming this year. Food and spa are excellent and the grounds are beautiful. We ended up being snowed in so stayed an extra night - the management gave us a big discount which they didn’t have to do. Like all hotels in the group it’s not a cheap stay, but the childcare, spa, listening service and great restaurant make it as relaxing as it can be with two kids! Collapse

I Stayed at Wooley Grange together with my extended family a month ago. Overall it was a good experience althoug the restuarant service varied from superb to disinterested and there were also one or two other issues. More importantly I am most concerbed aboiut the electrical safety at this hotel. There was a string of cheap domestic LED lights connected to a broken transformer at floor level with the back of the live terminals clearly visible and unprotected. This was in an area busy with children and toddlers and therefore a very real safety hazard. I reported this to the staff. On my return home I wrote to the General Manager about this and one or two other items. I had to e mail three times before getting a response from one of the Management Team. This person promised on two occasions to call me on specific days. I waited in but the calls did not arrive and I have now given up Collapse

Stay for one night with kids. Rooms were starting to look tired. My kids were not that impressed by the creche which was the main reason we came. Our 5 year old asked to leave 1 hour in to her 2 hour time there as she told me she was bored. Afternoon tea was a joke. Stale bread on sandwiches and practically burnt and tiny scones - one of the worst we’ve had anywhere. Dinner was ok and but the cooked breakfast was poor. Collapse
