THe hotel room itself was spacious enough, however, the furnishings both in the room and public areas were worn and in general the hotel (in my personal opinion) could certainly use a major upgrade. I would certainly not rate this as a five-star luxury hotel. The Westin is conveniently located to area attractions and across the street from the Pavillion Mall. While shopping isn't a priority for us, the mall was convenient for morning coffee and dining options. The staff were friendly and for the most part helpful. We especially enjoyed talking to the young man in the bar. I must admit I was not at all impressed with the food or service at Prego the on-site Italian restaurant. And, after we returned home I was quite suprised to view the glowing reviews of the restaurant and hotel on TripAdvisor. Collapse

My husband and I arrived to The Westin after a week in Bali. We were visiting KL for medical appointments at nearby Prince Court Hospital so the location is fabulous and close. Check in was prompt and efficient and our rooms on the 33rd floor were fabulous - clean, spacious, private and quiet. The bathroom was huge and very clean and well equipped. The gym is amazing and I love that you can order an entire gym workout outfit in case you forget or don't want to pack! I didn't get to try the sauna or pool on this trip (2 days) but happy they have as many hotels no longer have saunas. The breakfast is sensational - everything from continental pastries to laksa and lots of asian breakfast foods - the sushi was disappointing and there was no smoked salmon is my only letdown. Get to breakfast early as it fills up if you are a late eater! The Pavillion is directly opposite and Fahrenheit 88 is down the road. Jalan Alor and all the main eating streets are within walking distance so you are surrounded by eating options although Petaling St and Chinatown are a little further - we love to walk everywhere so it wasn't an issue. Also the Monorail is just a few blocks down and that is super handy to go to Petronas Towers and other city attractions. We had a fabulous driver called Alex take us to the Hospital when it was raining and he also took us to the airport the next day and he was absolutely fabulous and loked after us! I would love to return to The Westin and experience the Executive Club as although we stayed on the level we didn't seen to have access to the events or lounge which is strange. My husband and I are returning in a fortnight and have thought about rebooking for The Westin Residences for a longer stay but the Games are on and availability and specials aren't showing at this time - will keep you posted if we stay here as I am in the process of rebooking our return accomodation! Overall we had a super positive and satisfying stay at The Westin even though it was for only 2 short busy days but I would recommend to anyone to experience the hospitality so feel free to contact me with any questions! Thanks Westin Kuala Lumpur and Mizan and staff - hopefully you will see us again in a fortnight if the stars align:) Terima kasih! Tonya Collapse

We were on a road trip back to Singapore from Kota Bahru, Kelantan and stopped by The Westin, KL for the night to rest on 7th August 2017, breaking the long drive. Upon arriving at the hotel, after successfully navigating the infamous KL traffic jams, we were pleasantly greeted at the Westin driveway where the concierge happily helped us unload our many bags as well local produce and goodies bought from Kota Bahru. The check-in was seamless and all our bags were brought up to our rooms, including a box that we requested that it be stored in the Hotel's cold room due to the perishable nature of the items. Westin is very conveniently located in the Bukit Bintang area, an area that is buzzing of activities in KL. It is opposite Pavillion Mall, where you can get all your shopping done from designers goods to everyday offerings. No worries about variety of food and restaurants. Almost every staff we met at the Westin from the front desk to concierge to room attendants had a smile on their face and had super friendly disposition. In the evening, when we decided to explore a little bit of the area, we met Mizan (whom I later found out that he was the Chief Concierge) at the lobby. Mizan was completely attentive and too delighted to help with direction to a departmental store that we wanted to visit. Mizan didn't just give us the instructions, but took the effort to lead us out of the hotel, to show us the direction of where we need to walk to. Unknown to us, that wouldn't be our first and last meet with Mizan. The next morning, we were packed and gone down to check out of the hotel. We met Mizan again, as he approached us to ask if we needed any help. Well while I had much confidence in the WAZE Navigation App that brought us from Singapore to Kota Bahru and to KL, I thought we could probably check with him if the directions given in WAZE was the most efficient one to depart KL for the highway back to Singapore. It was probably our best decision to ask Mizan. Mizan not only had his concierge help us to the lower basement service lift, directly to where my vehicle was parked to load up all our bags (yes including our box from the cold room), but enthusiastically informed of an alternate route out of the city that by passes the normal daily jams in Bukit Bintang area. As we drove our of the car park exit, we were surprised to see Mizan standing there, to ensure that we made the correct turn in the direction of the alternate route. I should add that there was a light drizzle going on at that time too! The alternate route saved us 30 minutes of being stuck in the KL traffic as shown us in the WAZE app. Reason I am writing this feedback on our experience is to fully recognise the very happy memories we had of Westin KL, where I know from Mizan to all the other staff, they are there to fully service their guests. Mizan in particular needs special commendation as he went totally out of his way to care that we adhered to his instruction on exiting the city to the highway in the shortest possible time. Totally awesome and Westin KL will always be our preferred hotel whenever we re-visit KL. Collapse

Just spent the last 5 days here. We stayed in the one bedroom suite which was very spacious and had a great view of The Pavilion which is conveniently located across the road. We had access to the Club lounge during our stay. Said and his team provided exceptional service. The food in the club lounge and the buffet breakfast was always delicious. My kids spent some time at the kids club which they enjoyed and found the staff very friendly. Collapse
