Just returned from another fabulous break at Westhill. As usual the room was very comfortable and the staff as attentive as ever. Food excellent and varied and nightly entertainment of a good quality. The gardens are truly stunning and lying at the poolside the only noise you hear is the chirping of the birds in the aviary - so peaceful. The little courtesy bus into town is very handy but the local buses also stop close by too. All in all a super family run hotel with that extra personal touch that makes you feel at home. Can’t wait for our next trip Collapse

Booked well in advance for May bank holiday. The weather for our Jersey trip was stunning and after a short taxi ride from the airport we arrived at the Westhill. The inside of the hotel is a little dated but everything was perfectly adequate for a weekend away. We had breakfast both mornings which was fine although some tables are literally joined together with others which on our first morning was not entirely comfortable. We made it clear the following morning we wanted a little more privacy and this was allowed with no bother. The front of house lady was extremely helpful and dealt with taxi requests etc with minimum fuss. The hotel is a 20 minutes walk from the town which meant we either used the courtesy bus from the hotel or got taxis. The highlight of the hotel are the grounds. They are simply stunning. There is a large pool and hot tubs and the grounds are kept immaculately. Would I stay here again? Yes Collapse

At the end of September my wife and I revisited this lovely hotel for our 40th wedding anniversary. Our last visit was for our 25th. The hotel is as good and yet better than we remembered. The rooms are excellent, spacious and very clean. The meals are very good and the waiting staff, very attentive. Nelo, the maitre 'd is excellent, has a wicked sense of humour and superb at reading his clientele. Such a happy crew. All the staff are excellent and know the hotel and cater to your every need. Their knowledge of Jersey is also good and they will go out of their way to help and find an answer. I would highly recommend this hotel. We'll certainly be going there again. Thanks for a very memorable stay. Collapse

West hill country hotel I would describe the hotel as cute. If the weather is nice I'd say it'd be a great summer holiday. It has a pool, 2 hot tubs, sun loungers. We were really lucky with our week, the weather was beautiful. However I do think the sun loungers need padding as they are really uncomfortable. The rooms are small but have what you need. Unfortunately the beds are really uncomfortable and found it hard to get a good nights sleep especially when warm as there's no aircon. The clientele is of a much older generation and this reflects in the food and entertainment as it's all targeted towards them. The food is fine if you don't have any allergies. I'm a vegetarian, pregnant and have allergies. One evening meal it was mushrooms & Stilton with pasta. I'm allergic to mushrooms and you can't have Stilton when pregnant. The staff didn't really understand me and kept saying to have the meal I couldn't have. There's only one option for vegetarians and 90% of the time it includes mushrooms. I was only offered plain pasta which I felt was unsatisfactory. I didn't eat it as it was plain and tasteless. We had to go out that evening and pay for dinner. My husband eats anything, so the food for him was good. We took our car with us and found this handy as we could have the option of exploring. Jersey is beautiful. Another evening the vegetarian option included Parmesan mash. Parmesan isn't vegetarian. I spoke to the staff about this but yet again there was confusion. Being a strict vegetarian I don't find this acceptable. The hotel is also open to locals and for birthdays/ weekends. I think this should be made apparent. Collapse

Visited Jersey in June 2017 and stayed in the Westhill Country Hotel. Found the hotel very good with great gardens and out door pool. The rooms were good and clean. The first room we were given was above the kitchens and we found it very noisy. When we ask for another room they were very helpful and gave us a room overlooking the gardens. The view was excellent overlooking the pool and gardens and the room really nice and clean. If you can ask for a room overlooking the pool. The gardens were quite extensive with lovely walks through different areas of the garden. There was also a nice seating area were you could enjoy a nice cool drink. The pool was a reasonable size a well maintained and the water was pleasant for swimming. The Public areas inside the hotel were nicely laid out with a large dance floor. There was also a large seating area were there was nightly entertainment. The dining room was very nice and the food was excellent with very good service. Through out the day the hotel laid on a free mini bus service too and from the main bus station. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jersey. Collapse
