We stayed for 2 nights 11 - 12 of May. Friendly staff, if drive a car use the valet it's excellent. Room size was very large for an old hotel. A view of the palace garden's with sheep and goats roaming from our room. The only down side you only have 1 choice of where to eat in hotel and that's Gordon Ramsey. Breakfast was a great choice from crepes or omelette station to all the other items for a great breakfast. Would highly recommend it rather than stay in Paris which we have done before but this is our choice from now on. It's only 30 mins away by uber into Paris. Collapse

My husband and I stayed at this property for one night at the end of our trip to Paris, Brussels and Versailles. We are a younger couple with the sole purpose of visiting the Chateau of Versailles before returning home. We are seasoned travelers who base our hotel stays mostly on comfortability. We have stayed at many other Waldorf Astoria properties which were fabulous so we assumed this property would be the same. The front desk staff, bell service and room were fantastic. We had a deluxe room with a partially obstructed view of the gardens. The concierge service was satisfactory and thankfully arrangements were made for us to tour the Chateau so we avoided the long lines. Additionally, the suggested seafood restaurant - La Perle de Saint-Louis was fabulous! Small family restaurant with exceptional service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the food was unsatisfactory and the service was slow. The breakfast buffet which is 39 euros in advance or 49 euros without a reservation is mediocre and does not cater to allergies or a gluten-free diet. Specifically, the eggs were lumpy and sort of orange in color. The bacon was undercooked. Also, the staff were kind once you began to interact with them; however, everyone had to wait for service. We ordered two cocktails - gin and tonic- which took over 30 mins to receive after we waited for at least 20 mins outside of the bar. I have high expectations; however, for what it cost to stay here I would expect nothing less. Collapse

The accomodations were beautiful and immaculate. All staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Their proximity to Chateau de Versailles was our deciding factor. I am pleased with our stay, and will happily recommend this hotel.

My first time in the property and location. The initial reception experience was very very positive, assigned room and upgrade excellent, unfortunately things went downhills after that. Initially asked for a late check out, calling to reception the following morning to confirm we were required to vacate the room at 1pm, at 1:30pm we were aggressively advised to move by a member of the housekeeping staff. On arrival day 1 - 5pm Restaurant was closed, dined on the veranda where we ordered 2 steaks @ 55$ each, they were not good. Service was however good. Enjoyed the gardens and magnificent property, going for a stroll in the Versailles Garden. Breakfast excellent, when preparing for the next day visit to the Gardens and confirming late check out with reception was advised no late check out, room already booked, bring bags downstairs. When approaching concierge for assistance to tour the Gardens - wished to hire a Cart - was greeted with a 'smirking' concierge team who seemed to belittle our request for assistance to the gardens and to obtain a Cart. Not what I would expect from a 5 Start Waldorf. The staff in general however were v. helpful ( with exception of concierge and reception phone) , baggage handlers v supportive. Left our baggage ( no receipt) till out return at 4pm from Gardens - No Cart ( original agreed late check out 4pm) Departed As a Diamond member, find this treatment unusual, particularly as this is not high season and the Hotel was not over subscribed, may try again this week. May opt for another service Collapse

This was booked as a birthday treat for myself and some friends and it certainly lived up to our expectations. We booked a Palace room which was spacious enough for 3 large (and very comfortable) single beds, huge bathroom, dressing area and still enough room for 3 women and all our luggage!!! Location was perfect for visiting the palace and the city of Versailles is very pretty! The whole team were great, we are in the Veranda restaurant, lovely food and great service, cockails in the bar are top notch and the concierge helped us with taxis back and to to Paris and tickets for the palace tour! Overall... stunning place to visit and the service is superb....great experience! Collapse
