The best Hotel Ever!!!!!We arrived December 31st 2018 and left this morning. We were greated by a car from the hotel around 100€. I wish the driver spike English. The car was a Talon and I actually fell asleep because I was so exhausted. Only a few unfortunate events but nothing that the hotel could have prevented. They did however make our stay so much better. my husband got ill and they suggested we call a doctor... about 80€. Claire and Marchello from the concierge were so patient with us and all of our questions. they helped book several tours and activities and Marcello even sent chocolate to our rooms thank you do much Marchello!!!! The staff was all so accommodating even moving our room when our internet was not working. we started out in room 1243 which the view was beautiful! the room small though and the tub even smaller. I need to know kind of mattress they have because I have never slept so well before!!!! we then were moved into the palace room 102. See there are two buildings at the hotel one ( palace) and one across from the palace. This hotel has the most luxurious French breakfast and was included in our stay. If you want to check out my review on Google maps I will post pics of everything. The ambience is superb and romantic. we also ate at the Veranda by Gordon Ramsay. I was not impressed. we had the Risotto and Tenderloin. our room 102 was very spacious but when you walk out on the balcony it's in dire need of a pressure washing. My husband fell in love with heated floors. The hotel gives you complimentary sparkling water and Evian mineral water everyday and the espresso machine in our rooms definitely never failed to give us that morning caffeine fix. I would definitely return again maybe try Gordon Ramsay's other restaurant at the hotel but is closed for the 1st 3 weeks in January because the French are huge on New years. My husband and I joked about how the staff would probably come pack our bags for us only because they went above and beyond to make our stay so stress free!!!! I would suggest having those Smart TVs in the rooms adjusting for wifi and Bluetooth because we did unfortunately have to stay in the room longer than expected because of my husband becoming I'll. Or maybe add a feature that allows you to access Netflix or Hulu etc or adding a movie purchase option because they only have about 4 English channels one is CNN and BBC and the other two nothing interesting was ever on. Oh if you stay here it's so close to the palace gardens about a 100 foot walk. If you take an Uber to the Entrance of the Palace of Versailles it is 8€. An Uber from the hotel to Paris will run you around 30€. Claire from Concierge even gave me a hug as we departed this is how darn sweet these people are. If you dont prefer staying in Paris or dont want to travel 45 minutes back and forth from Paris to Versailles or even if you dont mind the travel like us you must stay here. you won't regret it!!!!!!! Didn't quite match up to my very high expectations of the hotel.

When you stay in a hotel with such gravitas and with the name Waldorf Astoria associated with the property you expect nothing but the best and sharpest service and amenities. The Trianon would have met expectations if it hadn't the prestige associated with it. Admittedly I was staying at the hotel at a VERY reasonable rate but when we checked in we were told we would be upgraded to the main house from the Pavilion building where we were initially assigned. Delighted with this news we were then given directions to our room in The Pavilion? Was this subterfuge meant to make us feel good or was their a genuine mistake made? Later that evening we decided to use the coffee machine only to find that water spilled out of the machine as we operated it? One our second evening we brought this to the attention of the concierge but nothing was done about it during our whole stay. Returning from our trip to Paris on our second day we placed cheese and a large bottle of coke in the fridge. On our return to the hotel on the evening of our third day we discovered that the Coke and cheese had been removed from the fridge. There was a dangerously loose socket in our room too and there had been an attempt to remove a stain on the bedside table left there by us our first night but was still there on our last night (4th night). The breakfast lacked the 'WOW' factor one associates with 5 Star hotels. Now for the good points. The waiter service at breakfast was second to none. The personnel were immaculately turned out and they were extremely friendly and courteous, happily breaking into English to make it easier for us, the guests. The supervisors / managers were very sharp and it was not beyond them to remove dirty dishes as they walked by our table. Unfortunately we did not have time to make full use of the hotel and its facilities.....and spend more money with them on this occasion. Collapse

We stayed here for a quick night after our day touring the palace. The hotel is within 10 min walk of the palace, very convenient. As a Hilton diamond member, I received a room upgrade. The room was nice and well equipped with the essentials one would expect from a Waldorf hotel. I really loved the heated bathroom floor, what a nice touch and thoughtful design. The staff members we interacted with are all very pleasant and professional. The concierge was very helpful in helping us make diner reservation and arrange for a taxi. The concierge informed me the taxi ride to CDG airport would be around 80-90 euros, however it took us 140 euros to get there. Not a big deal but I would appreciated it if the concierge's estimate could be more accurate. I would have arranged for a pickup from the hotel, which would have been cheaper than the cab ride. One thing I found a bit puzzling was the turndown service. It was done in a very ambiguous way. At first we weren't sure if the room was turned down. The towels were refreshed and light adjusted, but there was no water on the nightstands nor any treats/chocolate on the bed. Again, I wasn't sure what the standard here is, but based on my other Waldorf stays usually turndown entails more than just this. I found the spa layout also a bit confusing as the gym is only accessible through the pool, and I was hoping for a more spa-like sauna/shower/relaxing area since the hotel has "spa" in its name. But I found the layout and setting very confusing and the facility not to the standard I experienced at other spa hotels. I did not book a paid service, not sure if clients have special access to other areas that I wasn't able to access. My review was based on the areas available to all hotel guests. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back again. Collapse

We booked for one night on our way from the Normandy region to Paris. We initially debated on where to stay, since it was merely going to be for resting purposes only (we arrived at 9pm on Dec. 27th with intention to see the Palace of Versailles in the morning). The concierge was very accomodating by printing our tickets and mapping our walking route through the grounds. They also kept our luggage after we checked out to permit us the freedom to tour Versailles. We stayed in the room across from the main house, on the first floor. View was of the main building but it was no matter since it was dark and late. Room was convenient enough, seeing as we could self-park beneath the building. Our standard room was nice, and far larger than most base level rooms in Paris. Nonetheless, a grand room wouldn't have been fully appreciated nor utilized due to the time constraints of our schedule. The bar was quiet but we enjoyed having it to ourselves. We indulged in a cheese plate and some spirits as the day came to a close. The buffet breakfast was delicious and offered a tremendous variety. No wait on being seated or greeted. Very good service all around. The location is supreme when considering proximity to the Palace. We walked our way through the grounds, feeling like we had the place to ourselves. As we approached the Palace building we came upon a RIDICULOUSLY LONG entry line. However, we jumped straight to the front of the que with our tickets (priceless). We booked on Hotwire and scored our hotel room for $280 USD for the night. It was well worth the convenience. Collapse
