We have just returned from this beautiful hotel and just cannot praise it enough! We were a group of ladies who saved hard for our trip to Dubai and we certainly got more than first class treatment at this hotel. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, the decor, cleanliness, smell and welcome is impeccable! The rooms is this hotel are lovely and spacious with everything you need and more. Every member of staff cannot be praised enough for their excellent manner, service and personalities. Mark on reception in the club lounge was so good and remembers everyone’s names which is such a nice personal touch, and there were 7 of us! The restaurant staff too were just amazing and we must give a special mention to Sam who looked after us so well. The personal service though from our lovely Arnie in the club lounge was just outstanding! We are still talking about him now. He really is so professional and a credit to the hotel. Thank you Arnie for looking after us so well and for keeping our cocktails flowing every evening!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the Waldorf Astoria. Thank you all very much for your excellent service. Collapse

The staff at the hotel are the most helpful and charming I have met in many years of travelling, nothing is too much trouble.we asked where a certain bar was, instead of just directions we were taken personally and passed onto another staff member.the hotel is right on the beach but we often used the adults pool which was adjacent. Plenty of sun beds and no reserving.food in the half board buffet was excellent with a different theme every night.we used Social by Heinz Beck once, it was lovely, they gave me a special birthday dessert.if you are half board you get an allowance to go there and just pay the difference.room was very good , clean linen every day if you require.only thing is if you have never been to Dubai you may find the palm a bit out of the way for sightseeing, but great for a relaxing break.nice quiet room . 458 , could see the Burj al Arab from the balcony, but we never sat out there anyway as the pool was so good.Best air con, no noise ,and not too cold , it was 42 degrees when we were there but the room was just right. WE are staining here now for three nights while i ma working an emirates airlines HWQ which is by Terminal 3. Thos hotel is far from downtown (about 25 mins and 90 UAD) bu thas a pool and a beach and very relaxing we stayed o level 5 in king premier room with lounge access. Louie access really essential as there are free drinks and an good array of buffet nibbles. On fine our hosts Arnoe form the Phillopene snd Evie form Keny wren totally excel-lent. Ther is a gert pool but the guys there nee ti fetch th drones order much faster (what else ar they doing?). Yo can swim on the back too. I would recommend this hotel for people who want yo come for a week but only want 1 or 23 days shopping! Lovely people , so helpful. We wil come gains. Collapse

Simply the best in Dubai World traveller, often in Dubai. Palm is the place to be on top, and Waldorf my favorite Hotel. No comparison with other Hotels on the Palm. Best position, Best beach, best rooms, best food, best service. Top quality Hotel. Beach is amazing, always perfect, big and very comfortable chairs. Perfect order and service. My special thanks to the incredible worker Mr. Khalid (beach guardian) and Mr. Khan (beach bar manager). Food and service on the beach and in the main restaurants are also fantastic, thanks to "The MasterChef" Sandro (Italian Chef), his second Chef from Siria, Dan Karki, Anikit and Sherwin. Hi quality of food and attention to the details, i have some allergy with some food and they always take care of me cooking special light food with my favourite italian "Olive Oil" (nice and very rare to have Olive oil from Ligury in Dubai.. like at home). In general the atmosphere is fantastic, service very fast and hi level, rooms big and very clean, amazing architecture inside and the best i can say is at Waldorf “I feel at home”, and this is possible thanks to the incredible management, I find here the best service ever, and very good people are working here. My special thanks to: Jui and Claudia (reception) - Khalid, Yulia and Edoardo (consierge) - Mustafa, Ester, Leslie, Jennifer (Mezzerie restaurant) - Suraj, Elena, Chandima, Sam, Felimon, Manoj (Mezzerie restaurant) - Mark (Vip lounge manager) Sorry if i forgot anybody! Our 2nd visit here and just a superb as the first. From the moment you get out of the car on the hotel forecourt the expert customer service begins and doesn't falter throughout. We were shown to our room which was Palm facing (our preference) and noticed a connecting door :( We have had issues in the past with rooms that are connected so went straight to reception to ask to move. We were moved the following day (hotel was full that first night) without any hassles. The room was immaculately clean and we'd love to thank Shewkat for that, I have learnt a few tidyness/cleaning tips from him! The whole of the hotel is immaculate and I'm sure every member of the housekeeping staff does their job superbly. The food is varied and tasty with a different themed buffet each night. I don't eat gluten or meat/fish and the chefs were concerned that I wouldn't enjoy the food due to a lack of variety however, there was plenty that I was able to eat. There is also a gluten free station which was great. The gluten and vegan deserts were pre packed but still really tasty. Amal (desert station chef) and Ismael (senior sous chef) were continually asking if they could make something for me, was I ok, was there enough for me to eat. It was so nice to be considered. I accept that it is how I choose to eat and I will have less variety than most people but they didn't accept this, they wanted to ensure I enjoyed the experience of eating :) The breakfast chef who was on the pancake/waffle station made pancakes for me too. Every member of the team was considerate and helpful. The waiting team members were so helpful, professional and did their job impeccably, sometimes under duress from guests who felt a member of the waiting team was their personal staff - moaning that the coffee was 3 minutes late, or they'd waited 30 seconds for their water! Get off your backside and get it yourself - the staff coped admirably with these 'few' people. I could name them all for their never ending charm, resilience and customer service but we'd be here awhile - so it's best to speak of the people we had more dealings with and they were Mercy in Peacock Alley, Cleopatra K in the Mezzerie, who was so funny and so sweet and Stephanie, one of the hosts in the Mezzerie. The cleaners, turn downs, doormen, security, beach staff - just everyone. The meal in LAO was just as before, absolutely superb - I wish I could recall our waiters name who walked me through what it was best for me to eat, but I can't :( If you get a chance to eat here then do, the food is fantastic and the Sake cocktail definitely worth a try. If you're looking for a raucous holiday this is not the place to stay. There is a little more going on at night than there was 2 years ago - the cinema on the beach is a great addition however, it remains a lovely calm and relaxing resort. Perfect for R&R. There are always plenty of sunbeds, and awesomely if a sunbed has a towel left on it but nobody has been there for over and hour the towels get removed - perfect. Happy hour moves from 4-6pm at Peacock Alley to 6 - 8pm in Serafina, cocktails are lovely. The waitress in Serafina (whose name I forget - again) knew what we were having each night - that is customer service. In short (because I've done the long version) this is a wonderful hotel, immaculately clean and presented. Calm and relaxing. It has class. Great food. Wonderful staff - each of them. Will we return again? Absolutely we will. Thank you for another relaxing beautiful stay. Collapse
