Stayed at Veneto Palace for 2 nights as part of a tour group A modern hotel 4 star hotel formed from an older historical building it provided the basic requirements for an overnight (or 2) stay. Located close to Villa Borghese and many tourism sites this is a great location for a stay in Rome Generally a comfortable room adequate for 2 large suitcases with roomy facilities With no tea / coffee facilities or water boiling kettle there was little to quench your thirst as you relax in your room after a day out walking (like many Italian hotels) The upgrade to the room unfortunately placed the 3 bright lights directed above the bed head to provide a blinding aspect rather than a relaxing ambience. The breakfast buffet was a little compact when a tour group or 2 arrive en-masse. Collapse

On a recent tour of Italy this was our first hotel. It was not a good start to the vacation. Our room was like a cell. Twin beds (as requested) were crammed together and there was barely enough room to move around them. There was a large wardrobe with 3 coat hangers. No drawer space or counterspace anywhere. The room was dark with heavy drapes. We tried opening them to get a feeling of space but looked out onto other dirty buildings. The shower stall drained extremely slowly so a quick shower was a must. Being somewhat claustrophobic I could not have spent a second day in this room. Other people on our tour said their rooms were larger and even had a chair to sit on so we obviously drew the short straw. The breakfast was fine and staff were friendly Collapse

My husband and I only spent one night at this hotel. It was a good location for seeing the main sites in Rome and the room was clean. We did have some issues but it wasn't worth complaining about since it was only for one night. Had we stayed longer we probably would have asked to change rooms. First off, our room was very small. The shower didn't work well and a loud cranking noise erupted every time someone used the elevator. Luckily no one did after 11pm till morning so we were able to sleep. So for us, this place was just average. Collapse

Me and my fiancé came here for a base for our weekend break. The hotel is centrally located and a short walk to popular tourist destinations such as Trevi Fountain, Hard Rock Cafe and The Coliseum. Breakfast was good and our room was okay but could do with updating but nothing seriously bad at all, room was clean and we liked the decor. Staff very welcoming and knowledgable. Overall we were happy with our stay but we would say the hotel is more of a 3 star than 4. Thanks Hotel Veneto! Collapse
