Overall we had a great week in the lacroma. Its a large modern hotel located 15/20 mins from the old town. Its very clean and well maintained, we payed extra for the ocean view and the balcony and it is well worth it, the views from the hotel are fabulous. The pools are impressive and the gym sufficient too. We got a couples massage in the spa and it was very enjoyable and very reasonable too. Food is great,we were half board so had breakfast and dinner every day, loads of choice and plenty of food. The biggest dissapoinment was the beds, basically we had 2 single beds put together, they were very uncomfortable and the pillows were awful, this was the most dissapointing thing about our stay. The other thing you need to bare in mind is its very quiet there at night, the bar area is very small and there isnt alot to do there at night time. Other then that we really enjoyed our time in the lacroma. Collapse
Lacking in wow factor.

First time in Dubrovnik. The hotel is located on Babin Kuk which means you need a bus to get to old town. You can walk to Lapad which has bars and restaurants. My husband and I have been very lucky as of late to stay in hotels around the world, this hotel didn't live up to those experiences. First impressions are hotel is nice, clean with everything you need. But certainly lacks in wow factor. Service of staff is far from friendly, rooms are a bit naff. Bed is loud and rather uncomfortable. I have however noted below some pros and cons: Pro Reasonable price (package with TUI) Clean hotel, room was cleaned every day new towels and bedding etc. Good location in Babin Kuk, quiet resort but bus outside to take you to places. Good spa and gym facilities Cons Staff are a bit grumpy, no smile or greetings etc this ranges from towel staff to reception desk to shop staff When we initially check in we have a room with ants everywhere. They moved our room but not a sincere apology or sympathetic manner towards us. Bed - not comfortable Room - drab Sister hotel - charge you to use their facilities Breakfast a little repetitive by the end of a week. After all we have had a fab holiday but wouldn't come back to this hotel. I guess you get what you pay for. I would suggest if you are looking to stay here definitely have the sea view with balcony. And consider the lacroma president. Collapse

Prices of food and drinks are similar to England (but cheaper than a lot of places in the old town) Collapse

Very comfortable hotel with a nice feel, location is just a short bus ride into town. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, and a kettle in each room to make tea/coffee. Nice looking pool, however didn’t have a chance to swim. Gym was well equipped and empty! The main drawback is the number of tour groups, which make the breakfast and dinner buffets a bit of a zoo despite best efforts from staff. Good value overall Collapse

We stayed only 1 night prior to our cruise up the Croatian coastline and although the hotel is modern, we had some issues: The hotel is far from old town and our Uber ride (and taxis) were expensive. It took around 20 minutes to get to old town. You can bus back to the hotel (catch bus outside main gate) but the stop isn’t well signed. The staff at both check-in and check-out were not friendly and helpful (when we checked out and requested our bags be stored for several hours, we were directed to put our bags in an unsupervised storage room ourselves) When we checked in and asked for our passports, they said to come by later or pick up the passports tomorrow. When I said I would prefer to wait, he wasn’t pleased and we were told to sit down while they copied the passports. I don’t like to leave my passport unattended and I didn’t like his attitude. The hotel is big and impersonal. There were lots of people there for a convention (contact lens convention) so lots of people everywhere, around the hotel and at breakfast. There were some positives: The buffet breakfast had lots of selection and the staff were helpful. The ocean view was gorgeous and watching the sunset from our balcony is beautiful. Collapse
