Well we had a week staying here and it was real nice. The room was always cleaned and made up the staff always smiled and it made the whole stay a real pleasure and I thank the staff for making it so. There are a number of places to eat and all the food and drink is good and make sure you check out the pool it's lovely in the sun after a hard day in the sun enjoying the strip or old Vegas do make sure you make time for these things. There is a taxi rank outside and prices or OK for getting about normally there is a helpful person at the front to help out. I couldn't fault the place really enjoyed and hopefully we'll be back soon Collapse
It's OK, don't know if I'd come back

I stayed here last week for two nights, Thursday and Friday. First the good stuff: It's a good location at the "quieter" end of the strip. Easy to get to from the airport by bus. I arrived early and they were very accommodating and allowed me to check in about 3 hours before the official check in time. Now the average: The rooms were just OK. Nothing fancy. The casino area was nice, but not as flashy as others in Vegas. Now the bad: My room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it had an overwhelming odor of marijuana. That's a really gross smell and made the place feel a little sleazy. The deadbolt on my room's door was broken off, so the only functioning lock was on the door handle. I also had a not so pleasant experience with the security guard when I was going back to my room Friday night. The singled me out for some reason, I can only guess it was my appearance. They didn't seem to bother the older couple that entered before me. But being a single guy with a slightly goth / rock and roll fashion sense must have made me look like a troublemaker. They questioned where I was going and made me show them my room key. I was quite embarrassing and made me feel very unwelcome in the hotel. Collapse
A great value hotel but lacks that "Wow" factor.

I stayed here for 5 days. The staff is friendly and the front desk was very helpful and efficient when I checked in. The casino was small and smoky compared to some of the other casinos I visited. The rooms were very big including the bathroom. As a matter of fact, the shower was one of the best I've ever been in at a hotel. The shower was huge and had a "rain" shower head with a ton of water pressure made for an invigorating shower. I found the food and drink prices to be expensive but the portions were big and the pours good. The pool was good as well but the hours are 10:00a to 5:00p. The pool got crowded after 4:00p when business meetings let out and although folks were enjoying themselves the lifeguards blew their whistles promptly at 5:00p and cleared everyone out so they can close down. This was my only real complaint. I can see closing the pool but let people stay and unwind in the sun and fresh air after being in a stuffy conference room all day! The exercise room was too notch with great equipment, water, fruits and a great view overlooking the pool area. All in all a good stay, value priced but definitely lacked the "WOW" factor of the newer hotels on the strip. Collapse

We stayed here for 8 nights as my sister was attending a convention in the hotel. Received a warm welcome on check in and were given the opportunity to upgrade from a pool view to a Strip view, which we decided against which turned out to still be good as we had a view of the Excalibur and NYNY as well as the pool. Room was comfortable and plenty of space for 4 of us to share. We had an issue with the safe in our room not working and it was resolved very quickly and all staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated on the south end of the strip so it wasn't too busy or noisy outside which was lovely and there's a bus stop located right outside meaning easy access to the rest of the strip if you don't want to walk up. We used the pool a few days, it was nice and quiet and easy to get a sunbed, and there's a server taking food and drinks orders without having to go to the bar which was convenient. We dined at both Savour the Buffet for breakfast and dinner, and the Red Lotus Asian kitchen, and found it good value for money and great food, and again staff very friendly. The casino was never too busy which meant we got quick service. Overall a lovely hotel to stay in, would definitely recommend and would look to return on my next trip to Vegas! Collapse

We just checked in to a double queen in the Paradise Tower. The check in process was smooth and the valets and bellhops were super friendly and helpful. That's the good part. The bad part is the rest. The lobby is ghastly smoky, as others have mentioned. I know it's a Vegas casino, but the ventilation system could be improved so nonsmoking guests aren't smacked in the face with the horrid smell. Our room, on the 11th floor, does not smell of smoke, but is dingy, dark, tired and old. Not to mention dusty. The fake plant in the corner is covered with 1/2 inch of dust. My advice to hotel: toss the crappy plant and replace it with a standing floor lamp. There is NO light in this room. Dark and depressing. Closet is small. Bathroom, while fairly spacious, is tired too: the tub is chipped, and linens are worn (but clean). For the price, and the fact that it's a Doubletree property, I expected something much nicer.
