A comfortable, simple, and affordable hotel in the quiet neighborhood of Dorsoduro. It was nice to be away was the hustle and general business of other parts of Venice. It was located well. It was only about a 10 minute walk to Piazzale Roma, or the Rialto Bridge. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to St. Mark’s Square. A nice breakfast is offered with a variety of meats, cheese, boiled egg, yogurt, cereal, and breads/pastries. The air conditioning works well. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Collapse

Stayed here for 4 days, me, my husband and our 15 year old daughter, the room was clean, although small, with surprisingly comfy beds. The bathroom was somewhat more of a let down, clean, but had to be a contortionist to get in and out of the shower while manoeuvring round the toilet. We aren’t big people neither! Served its purpose for our stay all in all. Very friendly and informative reception, would gladly answer any questions and more than happy to give recommendations. Breakfast was just a normal continental breakfast, was enough to get you up and started for the day. This hotel is in ideal location, 2 mins walk to Grand Canal, 15 mins walk to the Rialto Bridge, about 20-25 minutes walk to St Marks Square. Plenty of shops, bars and lovely quirky restaurants are nearby, try and stay Away from those overlooking the GC, expensive but suppose it’s lovely to sit and watch the world go by. After paying €85 for three pasta dishes and three drinks, we soon learnt to go further off the beaten track and find equally as nice places to eat that were cheaper. Collapse

Found this gem through Booking.com, the price was budget which was exactly what I was looking for. As we would be out and about we didn't need gym or spa facilities. The hotel was clean, and tidy, tucked away in a backstreet, but easily found. A warm welcome when we arrived, and the owner was very helpful although English isn't a first language for the staff, and I have no Italian language, we managed Our room was across a small open courtyard which was bright and airy and from the second floor we overlooked the courtyard. Small bedroom with a comfy but dated dark wood bed. A split level shower room up a flight of 5 steps, which was compact but had a wc, whb and even a shower in amongst the roof structure. Would definitely consider rebooking this Hotel again for a future visit. As it's location was handy to S. Toma waterbus terminal. Collapse

Everyone I know who visits Venezia frequently has a list of decent cheap hotels, and this is certainly becoming one of mine. If the prices stay good - I often travel alone and single rooms can be scarce at some times of the year - then I’ll be back again too. They’re friendly, it’s clean and pretty well maintained, if only they’d serve decent coffee at breakfast it could even go up half a star. My discovery this time (and thanks to their advice on an EMail, and I wasn’t even enquiring about that) is that it really is only about 10 mins walk from Piazzale Roma, and by an easy to find route. Another advantage. OK I got a deal on this place, but those don’t seem uncommon, and I’d definitely visit again were I offered similar. Staff were friendly, room and bathroom were clean and functioning, a/c effective even in pretty punishing weather, and I’d even go as far as to call it quiet(-ish). Breakfast was a fairly abundant buffet style with fresh pastries, coffee less than inspiring but I’m an (Italian) coffee fiend, and you can’t have everything. Location is good, with the local-friendly San Barnaba piazza and Calle (good restaurants) just round the corner, and top territory like San Polo, the Frari, Zattere, the Grand Canal, Accademia, etc. all within easy walking distance. Definitely worth a look. Collapse
