Lobby is beautiful as well as the roof bar. The location is perfect for exploring athens. We had an issue where our travel agent booked the wrong room and within the day we were in the correct one without extra charge. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast is a good selection and the food in the olive garden was nice. If I go to Athens again I would stay there again. Collapse

The lobby of the hotel doesn't match the actual rooms, and what I mean by that is the lobby and outside of hotel are very nice and then you get to your room that is dark and dreary and look like your in a college dorm room. The walls were very thin also. The food was ok and service was poor. A group of us were getting ready to leave to go to the airport and we were sitting at tables eating food we had gotten from the plaka. We were sitting there for 10 minutes with one of the employees sitting in the room next to us, and we were rudely interrupted and told we could take that food back to where we got it and eat it or we could go outside. Shortly after that there was another guest sitting at the exact tables and where never asked to leave. Collapse

Beautiful hotel, newly remodeled with amazing view of Acropolis Hill. We spent 3 nights here during our Greece trip and we weren't disappointed. We chose the upgraded rooms on a high floor with amazing views of the Parthenon. Our rooms included a welcome fruit basket and full breakfast buffet. Cappuccino upon request at breakfast! Hotel is a 15 min walk to numerous sites and a 5 min walk to neighborhood restaurants. Collapse

I was meant to be staying in the Titania for a business trip for 7 days, it wouldn't have been my choice but the company booked it, and upon looking at their photoshopped pictures online you'd be fooled into thinking this is a nice hotel. I also think their trip advisor reviews are fake. I arrived to a standard room, which I immediately walked in and out of as it smelt musty, was dark and dingy and in need of modernisation- something out of the 70's. No double bed, but twin beds. I complained and asked them to move me- they charged me 120 euro to upgrade to a 'superior' room. When entering this one although it was brighter, the bathroom was so small- you literally walked out of the bath into the sink and the balcony overlooked grafitti vandalised apartment blocks. No double bed either. Rundown. Upon unpacking my things, I immediately noticed how noisy it was- I could hear next door WORD FOR WORD, and also doors slamming everywhere in the corridor. So I requested to be moved again. The THIRD room on the 7th floor was better and more comfortable in terms of size, so I was a little happier. Until I came home early one evening and decided to have a peaceful night to rest. NOT POSSIBLE. Again, I could hear the couple next door talking word for word, them USING THE TOILET and finally them snoring loudly. To top it off, there was a loud party all night with booming music close by, a gang of teenagers outside in the halls talking loudly at 2am. AND the maid walked in unannounced at 8am on a Sunday morning. I had enough and decided to book into another hotel. (To mention, my colleague also experienced the same, and she moved with me too. The 'renovated' gym had three machines in a dingy white room like out of a horror film, one of which was broken. And the massage facilities- again one dingy white room with a bed. Disgusting. The rooftop bar- was filled with cigarette smoke from guests and you had to go up and awful corridor and stairs to get to it- when you arrived to a mouldy old red carpet. The terrace is tiny- good view but if it's busy you wouldn't get a seat and would be forced to sit in the smoking part which was awful. When checking out FIVE DAYS EARLY, I realised that when being moved three times, I'd left my coat in one of the wardrobes. In my haste and stress it's no surprise. The staff on the desk, number one didn't seem to care I was moving to another hotel. And number two, were not very compassionate or helpful when trying to retrieve my coat. It could only have been in the second room and apparently the 'housekeeping check all the rooms thoroughly when guests leave' and that room had been empty for one day. I left, with no coat- only half of my refund for a crappy upgrade to an even noiser room and promises they will let me know when the last guest checked out they would find my coat. Upon calling before I left, they fobbed me off again and said they would call back. They didn't. I've also sent an email- no reply. USELESS. Now arrived back in the UK with no coat- and can honestly say it was quite possibly the WORST stay I have ever had in a hotel. BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. THERE ARE MANY MORE AMAZING PLACES TO STAY IN ATHENS. Thank god my week ended better, I stayed in the NEW Hotel where the standard of service was excellent, rooms not too expensive and comfortable. Do yourself a favour and spend a little more money- as this hotel will ruin your nice hotel or business trip in Athens with it's standards. Collapse
