5 of us stayed here W/C 24th Feb. We weren't expecting a lot as we paid about £360ish each for a weeks all inclusive including flights and transfers. We were just hoping for a weeks break and a bit of winter sun. Unfortunately it was cold, windy and rained quite a bit. The reception staff were great. My partners parents and uncle (between 70 to 82) were allocated a first floor apartment a bit of a walk from the restaurant. We requested a room change, which was granted as soon as a room became available the following morning. We requested extra blankets and pillows, these were delivered to our rooms very quickly. All staff were happy, polite, helpful and worked extremely hard especially the restaurant staff. The food was ok but if you went to the restaurant early it was crowded, if you went later the food was only warmish. Breakfast was good. Nice bread and croissants. The prosecco was a nice touch. The baked beans were better than the usual found abroad. Other meals were ok and the staff weren't rushing to remove the food at the end of service time. The food was very good for what we paid. The hotel was clean. The rooms are dated but looked to have had a recent coat of paint. There is no heating or air con. It was cold in the restaurant and when it rained the roof leaked. There wasn't a double bed just two singles pushed together, the central edge seemed higher so couldn't warm my cold feet on my partner. The bar area and reception are small and not adequate for the amount of guests. The entertainment is dire. There were no children the week we stayed but I am not sure what they would do here? We hired a car so could travel around the island. I found the island landscape desolate. Dotted with square block uninteresting buildings and abandoned building sites. Some of the beaches were very pretty but with the rain, wind, cold and sand blowing about they were better viewed through the car window. The only place that I liked was Morro Jable. It was lovely to hear birds singing when I opened the car door as there seems to be very few birds elsewhere but there were a lot of Parakeets in this pretty town. The holiday would have been different if we were not unlucky with the weather but I do not think Fuerteventura was for us and I would not return to the island. Collapse

I went with my sister to celebrate New Years. All the hotel staff were amazing, helpful and polite. It was our first time going all inclusive and it was amazing. Food was lovely and entertainment was good. Rooms were very clean.

I never post Reviews on this site but I feel I need to comment on my holiday last week. Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The roof of the main building leaks and clearly has done for some time as the staff knew exactly where the towels and buckets should be placed. Check out previous reviews where the manager said he was going to fix it. The rooms are old, tired and worn out. Our room was so dirty our feet were black after 5 minutes. The shower tray was an old bath with no plug in it. No complementary shower gel or other facilities. The food was always cold but you are OK if you like pork. Served almost every day. Sometimes twice a day. It was impossible to use the sunshades because they are essentially just canvas rags on a wire frame. The rooms were so cold that many older guests were sleeping in their clothes as the hotel had run out of blankets. There were 4 toilets, 2 in the pool area and 2 in the main building, each accommodating one person at a time to service approx 100+ guests. Very small bar and lounge area clearly not big enough to cater for the number of guests. The Tahona Gardens was clearly designed as a self catering complex and whilst they have changed to all inclusive it seems to be in name only. The house wine was almost undrinkable. Only one bar was open at a time with one server who had to collect glasses and wash them resulting in long queues. On the up side all the serving team worked really hard and tried really hard to compensate for being understaffed. So praise to them as the one good thing about the hotel. Tui and First Choice need to radically rethink whether this establishment should remain on their offering. Collapse

Food and drink is ok even fussy eaters will find something (its not 4star). No forced entertainment which i prefer. This is a fairly quite relaxing hotel so if u want to sip all inc drinks read a book and soak up the sun its perfect ! I,m booked in again for 4th time in sept Collapse

Arrived in June 2017 a very pleasant entrance , reception staff very friendly the complex is low level 2 story white wash buildings and green path ways in and around pool area we had 3 apartments . Apartments very basic and decor very minimal thankfully weather was great so most of the time in pool and around pool bar. We went all inclusive I was a little nervous as we had only previously done all inclusive in 4 &5 star . Not to worry restaurant clean and bright , food was good but lacked overall choice , we found it very hot in the restaurant as their was no air con everyone fighting for seats near windows. The drinks were local brands again not top end just enough to keep you going. The pools were very enjoyable 1, child pool good size however no steps or slope small children would not be able to get in or out without help. 2, second part of pool clear to see when they split pool into 2 they put rail in wrong place steps into big pool. 3, next pool was warm and great for adults teens . The only entertainment was around pool area and pool bar not up to much ok if you are in a larger group you can entertain yourself. We as did many others went into town 5 mins walk lots of bars , restaurants and a few shops , some good acts on nightly so the very short walk is worth it. I have to say for a small complex with good pool area it is cheap and cheerful so if you are taking the family and want to save some cash it,s worth a look. Collapse
