I have stayed at the Staybridge suites twice this summer while working in London. While the rooms themselves could do with a little modernization, the staff is great to deal with and the facilities are in good conditions. They have a small gym on the 12th floor with all the essentials but you can use the holiday inn gym as well if you want to use their treadmills. If you plan to use the laundry (always on the 12 floor) remember you can buy cheap cubes of laundry soap for one or two pounds the pair. Just pop these in their washing machines, choose the program and job done. Location wise the hotel is unbeatable: Westfield shopping mall has everything you need, you can go for a run in the adjacent queen Elizabeth park and hop on a train/tube ride to London if you need to. Will definitely come back! Collapse

I have stayed a lot of generic hotels up and down the country, and quite a few in Stratford (East London). On this occasion I chose to try out the Staybridge (personal recommendation). Being a business trip, the hotel selection is based on; location, price and availability. This time the Staybridge ticked all three boxes. Knowing that the hotel (or should it be called an apart hotel) caters for clients usually staying for longer periods I didn't really know what to expect. Well... 'First Impressions Count' as they say and this time they did just that. I was greeted very warmly when I arrived at about 9:30 in the morning to ask if I could leave my bag with them for my stay that night. To my surprise I was asked if I would like to leave it in the room as it was ready. After completing the formalities I was given the key and directed to the room (not expecting to have access to my room until the afternoon it was a great start). When I got to the room, I was impressed with the facilities on offer. Not only was the room larger than your standard generic mid priced hotel room, but it was fitted out with a little kitchenette area. Normally this would be ideal for preparing a ready meal to was down with a bottle of something, but on this occasion I had other plans so I can't vouch for the functionality if the appliances but I'm sure they're all good. Anyway, what I did use was all good; Bathroom - very clean and well equipped Bed - very comfortable (and big) TV - what can you say lots of channels Internet - the free wifi is more than adequate for watching films on YouTube, a bit of surfing and checking your emails. So there is no need to by the premium pack. Coffee making facilities- a good selection of premium coffees As I said in the title, 'It's All About The Customer Experience'. You can have a problem at any hotel but it's not the issue that you remember it how it is handled by the staff! While I was just dropping off to sleep, I was awoken by the sound of dripping water. After switching the light on, I discovered that water was dripping from the ceiling onto the bed. After a quick call to reception a member of staff came to investigate. He was quickly followed by the Duty Manager who immediately took control of the situation and arranged for another room to be made available. I was compensated for my inconvenience and also given a late checkout if I needed it up until 2:00pm. It turned out that the sprinkler pipe in the ceiling had sprung a leak, not a common problem I'm sure (or they wouldn't stay in business very long). Going back to the title of this review, it shows that even if something goes wrong, if it is handled the right way it doesn't become a problem! Because of the way the staff (even those who weren't involved with the nighttime events), treated me... as a valued and respected customer, the Staybridge will be my first choice net time I'm stopping over in Stratford. I stayed here for almost half a year in 2015 (precisely 6 months) and I am staying currently from 23/July/2017 to 26/08/2017 almost a month and the stay is the best experience i ever had in any hotel till date. Facilities which you get in a room is truly fantastic. Staff is always welcoming, very courteous, always make you feel special. I would prefer to meet MD, Maria Ioana and the one who has always made the difference and encouraged me to come back is Gregorio (He is an asset to Staybridge), Mate you are the BEST and staybridge Management should know this. Evening social from Monday - Wednesday is a great concept and always refreshing to have an hour after busy first 3 days of work. Also meet and greet people (perfect saying home away from home) There is always a room for improvement - Room cleaning staff need to give attention to detail. It just need management attention Overall I had perfect stay in 2015 (for 6 months), now I am staying here for almost more than month. Collapse
