The breakfast was fantastic. The staff were genuine and polite. I enjoyed pilates lessons and area by the pool. The gardens are like a fairy tale. I am coming back for some sun. I made some friends which was lovely and learnt Spanish. I really would like to return. Collapse

Would never stay here again and for one main reason - the dining room. The dining room is not large enough for the number of guests at the hotel. It didn't matter when you went for a meal, early, midway or late the dining room was always full and you had to stand around waiting for other guests to finish their meal. The only way around this was to queue at the dining room doors before they opened up but you still weren't assured of a table. There was an annexe but by the time you had collected your food from the dining room it was almost cold. Breakfasts were fine but the evening meals were very mediocre. Our room was fine and we had paid extra for it, you shouldn't have to do this in a supposedly 4* hotel. The hotel grounds, swimming pool area and the staff were all fine. Collapse

We booked a holiday with Jet2 (whom we have had good hotels with before), everything went well until we booked in, the receptionist (a middle aged lady) seemed not interested in us and was off hand, if she had been issued with a broom stick it would have suited her!. We travelled with another couple and was given room 8 and 10, these rooms were in need of complete refurbishment, dark and poor. My wife was in tears, this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel what a joke! I wouldn't give the rooms a 2 star, budget accommodation, electric sockets loose and dangerous, we asked for rooms with balconies and got a poor little area in front of the room with no chance of the sun ever reaching it. The hotel is full of Germans who obviously now rule the world, pushing in at the smallest chance, we had to eat in a annex area and fletch our food from the main dinning room by which time everything had gone cold. After speaking to the jet2 rep (Chelsea) who with Helen were very good they at our insistence move us to another hotel (hotel porta de la Cruz) which is a proper hotel with decent rooms (we have had to pay extra). We tried to get better rooms at the original hotel but was told it was full, yes our rooms were bad but that's all they had and the hotel was shutting down for refurbishment. In my option it should bulldozer rooms 8 to 10 down and start again! The rooms were nothing like shown on Jet2 web site and I will be asking for compensation when we get home. Jet2 should never send there customers here to this hotel. I would like to thank the reception manager for his help the only good thing about this hotel was him. Collapse
Never go here

Ok so, check-in was great, grounds were lovely. Room was awful!! It was at the very end of a dark corridor with no lights, the only room with a normal key. When the door was opened the strong heavy smell of damp smacked you in the face. The bedroom had a very small window and so did the bathroom. The bed sheets werw damp and so were the curtains. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling, in and around the shower (not that you could call it a shower). The roof pitch in the bathroom, where the shower was, was so low no-one coild shower in it. The heating didn't work so as we could dry the room out so we opened the windows and gave that a chance. Went to dinner and there was a queue (i don't mind queues). Everyone was German at the hotel and when the doors were opened they rushed in like rats for their last meal. They were very rude. We rushed our meal to get out of the restaurant. We went back to the room and there was just a little smell and the sheet dried. We woke up the next day with damp sheets and our chests were heavy from breathing in the damp. We left the windows open wide again and went out for the day. When we got back the smell was much stronger and the sheets very damp. I went to reception to complain and asked to move rooms and i was willing to pay extra. The male receptionist said "That is the room you booked, that is the room you will stay in. No rooms available. Full till April. We complained to Tui and couldn't wait for them to move us so booked another hotel straight away. Within half an hour we went to the new hotel and paid an extra £264 for the rest of our stay and logged a formal complaint about the old hotel. Disappointing start to the holiday but we can now enjoy the rest of it in a damp free room with pleasant staff, lovely food and a great view. Tui should take the Parque San Antonio off their books!!
