My friend and I booked this hotel for a weeks holiday in a club room. The price for the hotel was reasonable, however the service and the quality of the accommodation was not. Several areas were below a standard I would expect from a five star hotel: 1. The rooms were tired with frayed carpets, old bathrooms and well used furnishings. Having stayed at 4 star and 5 star properties in Dubai all were considerably better than the Sheraton. This hotel is one of the oldest at Jumeriah Beach and having stayed at Jumeriah Resorts and intercontinental hotels in Dubai the difference is stark! 2. When we arrived at 1am following an 8 hour flight we were not offered any drinks or other refreshments which is standard in other hotels in Dubai. The receptionist was not particularly engaging nor enthusiastic so we didn’t have a great first impression 3. The club lounge was too small for the number of guests with not enough staff to serve them all, the food selection was poor and staff were not always friendly and attentive. 4. We enjoyed lying at the beach, however after requesting an ice bucket for the water provided by the hotel and club lounge we were ignored each morning and had to set up our own loungers and umbrella, again not what you would expect from a 5 star establishment. 5. My friend and I sometimes had 2 showers a day given the heat during the day and requested 4 towels for the room each morning. This request fell on deaf ears as we had to phone on several occasions for extra towels which was incredibly frustrating. Overall it was a very disappointing stay and not what I would expect from a Sheraton hotel. This hotel desperately requires renovation in order just to keep up to date with nearby hotels which have more competitive rates. I would refrain from booking this hotel again in the future. Collapse

We stayed here for 7 nights in April. Arriving around 8.30 pm we were checked in quickly and efficiently and shown to our room. It was exactly as we had seen on line with a view of the hotel grounds and out to sea. The decor may be a little dated but it was spotlessly clean and in a very good condition. The bed was really comfortable although both my husband and I found the pillows too squashy and would have preferred them to be much firmer. The bathroom had both a bath and shower and plenty of room for all our toiletries etc. There was even a retractable clothes line which I only spotted on the morning of our departure. Really handy though for drying wet swim wear when there's no balcony. The hotel has lovely grounds with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas plus the beach area which was really nice too. The pool area was busier in the mornings but did get quieter in the afternoon. We enjoyed the swim up bar and we did have food by the pool one afternoon which was pretty good. Apart from that and drinks in the 'Bliss' beachside bar the evening we arrived we didn't try any of the other restaurants at the hotel. One strange thing was that we were told we were not allowed to take photos in the hotel foyer, which we found very odd - why not? All staff were very pleasant and greeted you at every opportunity. We would happily stay here again and rooms at the back mean you don't get any traffic or street noise. Collapse

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful . We were upgraded to a sea view room and had one of the rooms with a balcony. I had read reviews complaining that it was dated, but I found nothing wrong with the decor at all. The food in the buffet restaurant was excellent. We went on the metro to the malls and this was reasonably priced and very straightforward. There was staff at the station to assist with purchasing tickets . The walkway along the beach is nice at night with lots of bars etc along it. Collapse

I stayed in Sheraton in 1st week of Feb. Overall, it is a nice property overlooking gardens, swimming pool and beach. Food and service is quite good. Water sports activities are also available in the private beach area where you can relax as well and take sun bath. Only disadvantage of this resort is its little far away from city center. So, if your travel includes frequent trips to Bur Dubai area etc., then you may look for something else. Otherwise if your trip is just for relaxing and leisure, this is the place to be. Collapse
