There is not much differentiating factor to justify the price range for one night stay. Parking (many in the vicinity provides cheaper parking option), Fitness + Pool are okay, no complimentary breakfast, rooms are okay but I expected better mattress, standard TV, dirty refrigerator though we didn’t need to use. Pool is small and not so suitable for kids (5” depth all along). I opted this hotel by reading glowing reviews on Online forums, but the service is just fine. In room dining services messed up my breakfast order (serving took more than 50 minutes) and in stead of fixing things up by rushing or offer to pack, they asked me to cancel the order. That too when I called after 45 minutes (they gave me an estimate of 30-40 minutes), they said that it'll take 10 more minutes for a simple breakfast order. It's food...not like other items which I can have later. The customer service just apologized with paid parking slip instead of fixing the responsibility. They provided a lame excuse that I was running out of time and dining staff just provided me a way to cancel it. You should never ask to cancel rather seek ways to fulfill the need. If nothing amazing, then why to pay more. Collapse
The Property is lovely, the staff lacks communication

This was our first visit to Royal Sonesta, not our first to Inner Harbor. This hotel came recommend by friends. We were pleased upon arrival with our decision to try this recommendation. The door men were prompt, polite and professional. We arrived a few hours early and were checked in quickly as our room was ready. I later found out they were not booked out, this may have been a perk to our benefit for receiving our room earlier. There is a DAILY parking fee. Beware the parking garage is not on the property but rather around the block. There are different fees depending on whether you will park and come back or leave car parked for the entire stay. There was a free wine hour in the lobby, no one at the desk mentioned it and there was not a sign but our fellow guests had shared with us. Would have been nice if it was mentioned upon check in. Explorer lounge was nice but this is the part of the hotel the company decided to not renovate. The fabric on the chairs and couch are clearly worn away and tattered. The wood is scuffed and stained and seems uncared for. We stayed about 3 minutes and decided to leave and found a happy hour in the Harbor. The temperature is very uneven up there freezing on one side of the lounge and hot in the dining area. The rooms seem newly renovated,(approx 3 years ago) came with hairdryer, kureg single serve coffee, robes, mini fridge and was spacious. The mattress was comfortable but we both noticed the pillows were not. The coffee shop is convenient for a quick morning breakfast before heading out. The pool was lovely but small, towels were provided. We wanted to enjoy a leisurely swim but there were families in the pool and a lot of splashing and enjoyment was going on and we decided to skip it since the kids were having so much fun. Outdoors there was a basketball court as well as tennis courts, a gazebo and sitting area. A lovely gym, a racquetball court and a lounge area. The location was walking distance to two water taxi stops across the street. We enjoyed our stay and would return in the future if we decided to stay in this area again. If you were to stay in Fells point there is a gorgeous new hotel,Sagamore Pendry only a few more bucks and will get you an outdoor pool with a sundeck ,gym and beautiful garden area. That location suitable for couples and seems get you a little higher level of stay for the $$ than The Royal Sonesta. Collapse

I only stayed one night but the rooms were large, clean and comfortable, check in/out was easy, and the location was great - right across the street from the Science Center. Would definitely stay again! Collapse

I have stayed at this hotel during a conference that was held in Baltimore. The city does not offer much, but the hotel is nicely located at the harbour, which is the most attractive part. The room had a very nice view, but this is the only positive thing that I can mention. Staff was generally unfriendly and rude. Even for US standards when expectations are low this was below average. At breakfast waiters were extremely lazy and when I ordered espresso I was told to pick it up downstairs although it was offered on the menu. When the bar closed in the night people were virtually thrown out in a very aggressive way. Collapse
