Excellent hotel, it is a major conference hotel but we had no issues with this during our stay. We had been a little apprehensive about this hotel given some of reviews but could find absolutely no faults in hotel. Staff excellent extremely helpful nothing was too much bother. Parking easy and if required a little trolley took you back and forth to hotel but to be honest walk to hotel was not a long walk. Rooms large and clean, not modern but comfortable old Floridian style. Only complaint I would have was wifi and phone reception poor. Suggest high floor room for views and use shuttle bus for parks easy way to get around. Collapse

The architecture, the grounds, the amenities all first class. Mr Rosen's story adds to the uniqueness of this property. Clearly a convention facility first which is what brought my wife and I there this past week. I will say that I heard from cab drivers, to bell hops what a generous man Mr Rosen is, what he has done for the city of Orlando and his philanthropic outreach that stretches well outside Florida. As it relates to customer service, from valet all the way through the organization, excellent. Wherever we went, we were greeted by the resort staff asking if everything was satisfactory and were we enjoying ourselves. Honestly, these inquiries were sincere and if I had a issue or complaint I believe they would have been addressed immediately.Multiple choices for dining, multiple locations to gather for drinks and has four different pool options. A golf course though I did not play it. My room (standard size for a full service hotel) overlooked several of the holes which provided great scenery. Overall, I give this resort high marks. Collapse

We stayed here for the very first time as a family of 4 with two young children. This hotel is absoluetly stunning! We loved it here! we had a deluxe room on the 14th floor with gorgeous views overlooking the pools and golf course. We found the room to be spacious and the beds were comfortable. We didn't come across any noise on our floor. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Don't be fooled this hotel is big!!! but it didn't feel like it. It is a busy hotel as there was a lot of conventions going on, but it still had a laid back resort feel to it, unlike the Rosen Centre where that really does feel like a convention hotel. I didn't really get to see all of hotel and grounds (parts of the outside grounds that i did see are stunningly beautiful) as we mainly stuck to the pools due to having young children with us. The pools are great. Not cold either! There are a good few restaurants inside, we tried Tobias Burgers which were nice, expensive but nice. The hotel also has a mini market downstairs which holds most essentials needed at a hotel, again mote expensive then you would find at a regular supermarket. There is a publix accross the road which does everything we found we needed. The hotel is situated near to Universal Studios which is a 4 mins drive and near to International drive which again is a 6 mins drive, its near to the hustle and bustle of everything but away enough to give you a relaxing break when needed. All in all this hotel is amazing and worth a stay. I really wished we could have stayed longer than a week. I would say, staying here with a young family is great, no problems and I WILL stay here again as it has all that you need, but i would prefer to stay here just me and my partner as its quite a romantic place. Perfect for couples looking for a break or celebrating something special. Thank you Rosen Shingle Creek for an amazing week! Collapse

Lovely hotel, great facilities, friendly staff, lovely rooms and little noise (we were able to drown it out a with the a/c the one occasion it was too noisy). Rooms very nice and well appointed - although as always in the US, if you want a decent cup of tea take a travel kettle - just a coffee machine in the room. But, our problems with this hotel were with the booking. Having booked through Virgin Holidays in the UK, we were told 2 weeks before departure they didn't have room for us and were moved elsewhere. Then with 3 days to go we were offered the chance to move back. Having re-done our ESTA's etc we opted to stay at the alternative location. With less than 24 hrs to go we were forced to move back. I don't think it can ever be considered satisfactory to be told having booked over 6 months prior that the hotel doesn't have a room for you. The hotel decided to compensate us for the hassle by giving us complimentary breakfast vouchers for the duration of our 2 week stay..... after we had been there a week. We then had to negotiate to get some exchanged for restaurant vouchers which we could use for other meals. So all in all? A lovely hotel, but not the best organised! Collapse

My daughter and I stayed at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel from 25/3 to 8/4/18 and had an amazing holiday. From arrival you know you are staying at a first rate hotel. The hotel is clean and although it is a large hotel it doesn't feel overcrowded. There are plenty of sunbeds and areas to eat. We used Starbucks quite a lot and the deli on the lower level, which offered hot and cold food, so after a day in the park we would grab a pizza, sandwich, pasta (lots of choices) and take to the room to relax. The staff were friendly and the cleaning staff were very obliging with my extra coffee. I loved having a coffee machine in the room, and the fridge. We wen't to Walmart by Uber and filled up with supplies, its only around $5 ride to Walmart and well worth a trip to get drinks and nibbles to stock up for holiday as hotel prices are dearer. We didn't use the courtesy bus to the parks as you had to book the time you wanted to go and travel back and we didn't want to be limited to those times. The other issue was by the time we arrived back after being in a park the desk was closed. Using Uber really worked for us, easy to use and reasonably priced. The hotel has three pools, the lane pool, family pool and a quieter pool which we used. Ample towels are provided and free drinks water by pool. They have two hot tubs too, the weather was hot whilst we stayed so only went in once. The two downsides to this hotel, is the pool is open until midnight and I found that alot of parents let there kids scream and shout whilst playing in the pool at 11pm. I think the hotel should lower the closing hours. This is the first time I have ever stayed in a hotel where the pool is open til midnight. The other downside, which we did have to complain about was the conference young adults. 3 days before we were leaving the hotel, a conference of over 1000 young adults arrived and signs were put on our floor asking for the group to respect other holiday makers. Inside the hotel I found the children respectful, however at night they went wild. They were chanting and screaming and in the pool, it was very noisy. I phoned reception and they said they were getting security to go to the pool and after about 30 minutes they left the pool. The same thing happened the following night, we could not sleep because of the noise and even if you wanted to go in hot tub or pool, you would not go near them. They were wild and the supervisors need to be told this is unacceptable. This did dampen our holiday and the second phone call I was told they will be out by midnight but by the time they had left it was a lot later. In the morning I complained to the manager of the hotel and he apologised and took us to starbucks for a complimentary coffee. so before you book this hotel just double check if any large conferences will be on. But at the end of the day this hotel is spotless, staff are great, location is good, you feel safe and I would love to go back again. Collapse
