I stayed here twice recently. The hotel is clean. Location is fabulous – right on the beach. Breakfasts are very good. Most of the staff are welcoming and friendly. In particular, Elizabeth on the front desk is amazing – took care of everything I needed in a manner that was both professional and genuinely friendly. But I found a very strange policy in the Executive Club. The cleaning staff neglected to leave any bottles of drinking water in my room one day. I thought that was no problem as I can simply get some in the Club. I went there and took two bottles (probably cost the hotel one shekel each) but was stopped before leaving the Club by two of the staff who informed me that this was not allowed. Seriously? I called the manager to complain and he basically justified it. Truly extraordinary. Collapse

Still one of the best 5* hotels in Tel Aviv, wifi is free and very fast, staff is very friendly, spa and pool and gym excellent, location by the beach fanstastic. My 1st choice in Tel Aviv Collapse

OI have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions but have to say that it has not benefitted by the group being taken over by Marriott! Generally, most things have stayed the same but the utter dis-organisation of the management staff must be down to the take-over because they were never like it before. Beware of 'special price' taxis ... You always have the right to insist on a metered fare and I am sure that the bell boy is in league with the taxi drivers. Breakfast is OK but is kosher so don't look for crispy bacon! The bar is OK but the drinks are very pricy. I will continue to stay at this property but mourn the passing of the Renaissance group! I had booked two rooms at the hotel using Marriott certificates. Prior to booking, I had spoken with both the front desk of the hotel and Marriott/SPG, both had assured me that the hotel breakfast was included in the booking. My only anticipated cost was parking. On check-in I was told that breakfast is not included. I explained to the front desk that this was a deciding factor in selecting the hotel. Further, I pointed out that hotel staff and Marriott/SPG had told me that it is included. They put me on the phone with Marriott/SPG, who would not back up their previous assurances. They told me that they could open up an investigation to review the recordings of the conversations, which would take five business days. I explained how that was not useful for breakfast in the morning. Neither would they speak with the hotel on my behalf to see if they could resolve it with them. Completely unsupportive. Marriott has been a consistent downgrade in service and support since the merger. The hotel manager offered breakfast at a discounted rate. Honestly, I found that insulting, as it was supposed to have been included. Having limited choice, I accepted the offer, and asked that a notation be placed on the account so there would be no confusion in the morning. I was assured that would happen. Due to the incompetence and lack of initiative of the staff at both the hotel and Marriott/SPG, this process took an exhausting 60 minutes. We went up to the rooms, which were fine, but the windows in both are filthy. If they were clean, they would offer a wonderful view of the Mediterranean Sea. Dirty as they were, we could only enjoy the view by going outside on the balcony in the strong wind. Just a shame. One room had a partially obstructed entrance, due to a protruding entry to a staircase. Very odd design. The following morning, I go to breakfast with my family, and the guard at the door tells me I need to sign an invoice for the full price before entering. I decline, as this is clearly not what was offered to me and signing it might easily lead to me being charged for the signed amount. The breakfast guard calls Reception to confirm the discounted rate, and tells me there is no notation on my account regarding the discount. I then go back to reception and have to repeat the entire saga for them to address it. Ridiculous. So frustrating. The hotel offers an indoor pool, with a Jacuzzi and sauna. Regrettably, the Jacuzzi is restricted to those 16 and older, so my children could not enjoy it. I have not experienced this restriction before in the United States or Canada, but it may be a municipal regulation and not necessarily the hotel’s decision. Collapse

I stayed 2+2 nights during a business trip. As a platinum member I got an upgrade and renovated room. Got 2 different rooms with slightly different stiles. Both room s were well appointed and modern. One had the Illy coffee maker that is great. The views are beautiful. I prefer the south view to see Jaffa. The staff is professional and friendly. The young ladies at the lounge are friendly, attentive to the guests and do a great job. Thanks to all. Not all rooms are renovated yet, hopefully the renovations will be completed soon then all the guest may enjoy the modern rooms. Collapse
