Stayed here for two nights while visiting Hamburg for a concert at the Mehr Theatre. Arrived and was checked in swiftly, the lobby area is very elegant and welcoming. There seemed to be a great atmosphere throughout the lobby and neighbouring bars even though it was a Sunday evening. Live band etc. We stayed in Suite 700 which had its own private access staircase and exit to the street. We found the room to be superbly decorated and tasteful throughout. The suite had a separate seating area/lounge and open plan kitchen fully equipped including Nespresso machine. We found bar prices to be a little exuberant £22.00 euros for a beer and gin and tonic. However there are several markets and bars surrounding the hotel to get supplies. Location was equally as grand being across from the main station where all of Hamburg is extremely easily accessible. Will be returning with friends in the coming months and will definitely be returning to this fantastic hotel. Collapse

A really nice hotel with plenty of bespoke fixtures and fittings ...not the cheapest of hotels but you get what you pay but we thought it was amazing ...I thought it was priced right for what you get ...breakfast was superb with plenty of choice hot or cold ....only issue I have is the rooms are very hot and thats in winter...I dont think the air con cools the room quick enough. Hotel is facing central station so extremely easy to find....rooms are spotless...plenty of bars and restaurants all within a few minutes walk and extremely easy to get about either on foot or by public transport if u want to see the sights....if I go go back to Hamburg I would defiantly book this hotel again....keep up the good work Collapse

We stayed 3 nights here and I was quite disappointed. I am a Hilton member so stay at many Hilton’s each year and can comfortably say, this is by far not their finest. Had to ask to be checked in despite being the only person at the desk @ 11pm. Pawel was unfriendly and seemed inconvenienced by us. Room was basic but clean and looked straight into the other side of the building. Breakfast had a good selection and was plentiful but when I ordered my omelette I had the chef ask me with much disdain if I was from England. I explained I reside there but am Australian to which he replied “that’s why you’re difficult to understand!” Let me tell you my French friend- you’re not the easiest to understand either but I’d never have the audacity to tell a customer that! After my nationality was clarified he seemed a bit friendlier and told me how much he likes Australia. Needless to say, I had my husband order my breakfast the next day. The hotel lobby is nice and we decided to have a drink one evening. Ordered a sprite and bottle of red wine. We were given a yellow lemonade and a bottle of white wine. We explained this is not what we ordered, she insisted it was. I pointed out it was not sprite to which she told me this is Hamburg sprite and put it on our table. I put it back on her tray and told her this is not what we ordered and she should be considerate of copyright law when passing off a non brand as a brand name. Again with the wine she insisted it was the right one until my husband showed her what we ordered which was clearly under red wines. No apology, she grumpily got us the wine we ordered which we decided to have in the sanctuary of our room. We had an early checkout and Pawel to his credit was polite this time. One nice thing this hotel does is make breakfast packs to go for early check outs however they gave 2 despite our reservation being for 3. They forgot our son’s but he had breakfast at the airport which was fine. The receptionist from the previous day had forgotten to book our taxi but Pawel sorted it quickly for us. I travel to Hamburg frequently and usually stay at the Marriott which is better located with very friendly and professional staff and has nicer rooms. I would recommend anyone traveling to Hamburg to consider a different hotel to this Hilton. Never in my life have I felt racially profiled against until my stay here which I intend to follow up with Hilton Head office so no other non-German family is made to feel the way we were. Collapse

I visited this hotel years ago, when. It was showing its age and in need of refurbishing. I am happy to write that this hotel has been since then completely remodeled in a very tasteful, and elegant manner. The lobby is spacious and opulent with marble columns and modern chandeliers. The location is very convenient, right near the central train station and within easy walking distance of the main shopping area. My room was comfortable and quiet. It was a bit on the small side and dark, perhaps not ideal for a long visit. But for my purposes it was just fine. Wifi and breakfast buffet were good. Collapse

I value service over everything else on my travel and hotel stay and Hilton never fails me. The hotel staff was more than amazing and warm and gave me a great impression of Germany and it's people on my first visit to this country. :) I highly value how hotel staff takes effort to bring things to the room (for e.g. toothpaste, etc.) and let's customers simply relax and enjoy their stay. The gym was great, with free weights and treadmill...... And free apples!! 5 stars! Hilton has me as a customer for life! Collapse
