Stayed one night during weekend at Ironbridge. Family room was massive, the biggest we've ever had. Swimming pool is not full size, but was fine for our young kids. Lawns to the back of the hotel were nice to run around in, and made the surroundings quieter than expected. Great service, nice breakfast self-service buffet. Handy location near the motorway and the local retail park. I couldn't find any air-conditioning though....rarely a problem in cloudy Britain, but the bank holiday weekend was very hot indeed. Just a minor gripe though. Everything else was great, we had a good stay here. Collapse

Stayed for a night for a work visit. Overall pretty basic but still ever-so-slightly nicer than most chains, however rooms are smaller than what I’ve seen, and the wardrobes have definitely seen better days and could do with a paint job. Bathroom is simple but even after playing with the shower head I couldn’t get the water to spray with the kind of intensity I’m used to at home. I didn’t see the pool or games room, but could locate them if I had wanted as all is sign-posted. And the gym is tiny! Glad it has a gym but gets very busy after 17.00 - at one point during my 30-minute run I watched 2 men watching in the mirror, at least 1 of which was waiting for me or the woman next to me to get off the treadmills. Somewhat funny to watch :) Breakfast is the same as everywhere else - average but the staff are pleasant. For the price and location it’s not bad, and throw in a gym and pool - I think you’re onto a winner for all it has to offer for a couple of nights! Collapse

Excellent and enjoyable stay. Comfortable. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only minor critique was the breakfast sausages on both morning had dried and and become hard. However we had poached eggs made to order. Would recommend
